As if the records and stats held by Adele‘s sophomore album, ’21,’ weren’t already insurmountable, this week threw another atop the pile.

To jog your memory, the LP – famous for its megahit single ‘Rolling in the Deep’ – already rocked history books for debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 and staying there for a whopping 24 weeks at the height of its popularity (the longest run of any female album ever).  It is listed as the ‘greatest Billboard 200 album of all-time’ by Billboard itself. Currently standing at worldwide sales of over 31 million, it is also the best-selling musical project of the century.

Recently celebrating its 10th anniversary, the January 24, 2011-released set is now giving its creator and label a new reason to rejoice.

While it’s not enjoyed the critical acclaim of its predecessors, tunes from Ariana Grande‘s latest album – ‘Positions’ – can at least boast a similar commercial response, a feat evidenced by their ongoing buoyancy on Billboard charts.

Still found in the Billboard 200’s top 10 over three months after its release, the top-selling LP has been given lifelines thanks to the release pace of its singles – including the recently unveiled remix to single ’34+35′ featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat (click here to listen).

Though impressive streaming and digital downloads have aided the endurance of cuts from ‘Positions,’ it’s been radio that’s acted as a driving force behind its success.
