Although the promo train for Jazmine Sullivan‘s latest EP, ‘Heaux Tales,’ has already pulled into radio stations across America and even seen some of its content displayed on the Soul Train Awards, late nite TV, and more over the last few months, it shows no signs of slowing.

Undoubtedly, her fans aren’t complaining as the January 8-released ‘Tales’ came as the highly praised R&B diva’s first body of work since 2015.

Making up for lost time, Sullivan was most recently spotted turning heads and dropping jaws with a nearly 30 minute virtual concert as part of  HBO Max’s third annual ‘Our Stories to Tell’ series at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival (January 29-31).

Kicking off the three-day event – which is designed to reaffirm the streaming channel’s commitment to multicultural storytelling and creators – Jazzy delivered a stunning set that included previous hits ‘Bust Your Windows’ and ‘Lions, Tigers, and Bears’ as well as new ‘Heaux Tales’ cut ‘Girl Like Me’ and more.

She may already boast multiple GRAMMYs, top 10 R&B chart hits, and even a Platinum EP to her credit, but that hasn’t stopped fan hunger for H.E.R.‘s official debut studio album (due later this year).  Evidence of this has come via the critical and commercial response to the set’s single, ‘Damage.’

Released October 2020, the lauded song got the ultimate launchpad as its premiere was supported by a performance on ‘SNL’ the same week (click here to watch).

Fans of ‘Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)’ star Silento have watched him suffer a highly publicized fall from grace in the years that followed the popularity height of that chart-topping hit.

In addition to the negative press garnered from leaked nude photos and videos that displayed the rapper engaging in compromising behavior, the 23-year-old has also been on the wrong side of the law multiple times over the last year with arrests on charges of ‘assault with a deadly weapon’ and later endangering public safety after authorities clocked him driving over 140 MPH (as we reported here).

This week brought reports the emcee (born Richard Lamar Hawk) was yet again detained by police, this time for his alleged involvement in the murder of his cousin.

As news outlets and social media commenters alike weighed in on the hot topic, Hawk’s publicist – Chanel Hudson – took to Instagram to solicit prayers, not judgment, for the ailing star.
