Dua Lipa‘s ‘Levitating’ hasn’t exactly lived up to its namesake on the Hot 100, but its chart trajectory may be set to change.

Though not officially released until August, the tune first gained critical acclaim upon the March premiere of its parent project, ‘Future Nostalgia.’  In the time since, ‘Levitating’ has enjoyed a Madonna, Missy Elliott, and Blessed Madonna remix (found board the deluxe edition of ‘Future Nostalgia’) as well as a revamp from DaBaby.

While the solo and diva-dominated renditions did surprisingly little to push the song up the Hot 100 (as we reported here), the DaBaby assist reinforces the adage ‘third time’s the charm.’

Look inside to see where ‘Levitating’ landed on this week’s Hot 100.

With nearly 30 global chart-toppers to his production credit, Benny Blanco is the mastermind behind many of the last decade’s mega hits including numbers from Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, and more.

After gifting the latter the third Hot 100 #1 of his career, ‘Love Yourself,’ the duo have reunited with hopes of recreating that magic (as we reported here).

The new song, ‘Lonely,’ boasts lyrics that provide a deeply personal glimpse into the superstar’s life.

“What if you had it all but nobody to call? “Maybe then you’d know me,” Justin sings. “‘Cause I’ve had everything, but no one’s listening and that’s just f*cking lonely.”

Ty Dolla $ign and Jhene Aiko have already thrilled fans with their 2020 duet, ‘Party For Me,’ as well as joint contributions to 2 Chainz ‘It’s a Vibe’ (2017) and Big Sean‘s ‘Body Language’ (2020).

Now, the Los Angeles-reared duo have reunited for a new cut:  ‘By Yourself.’

Produced by Mustard, the female empowerment anthem – which heavily samples Changing Faces‘ 1997 hit “G.H.E.T.T.O.U.T.” – is among the many gems expected to line the tracklist of $ign’s October 23-due third studio album, ‘Featuring Ty Dolla $ign’ (click here to read more about that).

Speaking on the new Aiko duet, the singer-rapper said:

“‘By Yourself’ is an ode to all the amazing women, especially all the single women and the single mothers, who do this thing called life on their own.  Especially now more than ever. Ladies if you’re handling your responsibilities by yourself, just know we see you and appreciate you.”
