Have you ever wondered what ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Peter Pan’ would be like if their fairy tales were merged?
If you have, you’re a lot like writer Marissa Kate Goodhill who – thanks to the new film ‘Come Away’ – was able to bring that concept to life. Taking viewers into the land before both books-turned-Disney classics existed, the “origin story’s” plot also sees the stories’ titular characters revamped as siblings of African descent.
Starring David Oyelowo, Angelina Jolie, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, the Brenda Chapman-directed flick will and in theaters and VOD November 13.
