Christened ‘The Meaning Of Mariah Carey,’ the book sees Mimi share the rawest take on her personal and professional narrative yet.

Ahead of its release, the diva supreme sat down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss her story and what readers can expect.

Set to premiere on Apple TV+ tomorrow (September 24) a preview has been released and sees Carey lift the lid on feeling “captive in that relationship,” as well as being taken into the back of a police car. She also notably is seen saying “I wouldn’t have gone here if I wasn’t treated like an ATM machine with a wig on.”

After years of thrilling audiences from stage to television, GRAMMY-nominated singer-actress Amber Riley finally lifted the lid on news surrounding her long-awaited debut studio album, ‘RILEY.’

Set to unleash the project October 2 via an independent imprint, Amber’s giving fans a foretaste of what it has to offer via the LP’s lead single, ‘BGE’ – an acronym for big girl energy.

Produced by Sons of Sonix, the tune’s arrival was accompanied by a Child-directed music video that features a star-studded list of cameos from the likes of Gabourey SidibeJordin Sparks, and more.

In an attempt to drive her long-awaited seventh studio album, ‘ALICIA,’ to the top of next week’s Billboard 200, Alicia Keys is going into overdrive on the promotional trail.

Making pit stops at the likes of ‘Graham Norton Show,’ ‘Good Morning America,’ ‘iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020,’ and more (as we’ve reported here), the 15-time GRAMMY winner is leaving few stones unturned along the way.

The latest promo effort comes courtesy of a visit to COLORS SHOW – ‘a unique aesthetic music platform showcasing exceptional talent from all around the globe, focused on promoting the most distinctive new artists and original sounds.’  While there, Keys joined forces with TDE crooner SiR to crank out a live rendition of new album cut, ‘3 Hour Drive.’

As we reported here, World Suicide Prevention Day 2020 (September 10) brought with it ‘OK Not to be OK’ – the uplifting new single from Demi Lovato and Marshmello.

“It’s okay not to be okay/ It’s okay not to be okay/ When you’re down and you feel ashamed/ It’s okay not to be okay,” Lovato sings on the tune’s inspiring chorus.

Designed to build awareness for Hope For The Day (HFTD) – a non-profit movement empowering the conversation on proactive suicide prevention and mental health education – the song comes as Lovato’s latest effort to bring special attention to mental health-related matters.

The day of its release she took to Instagram to say:

“Since a young age I’ve dealt with suicidal thoughts and depression. I’ve been very vocal in raising the awareness of mental health because it is possible to see the light when you start the work on yourself. I’m living proof that you never have to give into those thoughts. I’ve had many days where I’ve struggled but please let this song be an anthem to anyone who needs it right now.”

Her heartfelt message apparently resonated with many as peruse of the refreshed Hot 100 reveals the tune made a promising premiere in the top 40.

Although his Lil Tjay-assisted hit, ‘Mood Swings,’ swung as high as #17 on the Hot 100 at the peak of its popularity, Pop Smoke‘s Dizzy Banko-produced bop slipped outside of the tally’s top 20 on this week’s refreshed edition of the chart.

To assist with a rebound, the late rapper’s team enlisted R&B hitmaker Summer Walker.

“I don’t mean to tip, but I got a tight grip on it,” she sings. “Gotta keep it on the go / ‘Cause a p*ssy don’t talk control.”
