Freshly poured from Def Jam’s ever flowing creative pipe comes August Alsina this year, the Hip Hop and R&B heartthrob sailing towards the Billboard Hot 100 aboard the budding smash that is ‘I Luv This‘.

So, it should come as a little surprise that yesterday saw him arrive at Power 105‘s ‘Breakfast Club’ hours ago, hoping to push his brand of baby making music to the show’s loyal audience. An audience, who no doubt would have been charmed, intrigued and impressed by the Southern gentleman and the story behind his rise to fame.

R&B’s new kid on the block August Alsina is still feeling the luv from fans after they lifted his latest number ‘I Luv This Sh*t’ (featuring Chris Brown & Trey Songz) to the top of Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop charts.

Now, with one hit under his belt, the New Orleans native has enlisted rappers B.O.B. and Yo Gotti for a round 2 with ‘Numb’ remix.  Taking the net by storm, the tune’s arrival follows Alsina’s television debut aboard ‘The Wendy Show’ this morning.

He’s the Hip Hop sensation on course to take his scene by storm with his budding smash ‘I Luv This’.

His name? August Alsina– currently housed at Island Def Jam alongside ‘Nostalgia’ creator Frank Ocean and R&B’s fastest rising star Elijah Blake.

Standing as one of the many acts everyone here at TGJ HQ is excited about, August is fast becoming a staple name on the YouTube cover scene, with thousands of budding stars taking to the outlet to perform their renditions of the song.

Jada Pinkett Smith is no stranger to headlines – especially in recent years. Years that have seen her marriage to Will Smith thrust into the spotlight and scrutinized like never before.

Indeed, there was the “entanglement” with August Alsina and Will slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars over remarks he made about Jada.
