This time last year relative newcomer Jacquees ruffled the feathers of some of R&B’s most devoted listeners when he crowned himself the genre’s king (click here to read more).  Inciting ridicule and backlash – even from some of the format’s most prized male vocalists (see:  Usher, R. Kelly, Trey Songz, and more) – the announcement garnered all the wrong types of attention for the 25-year-old.

Despite the push back, ‘Quees doubled down on his proclamation by titling his sophomore effort ‘King of R&B’ (in stores now).  Now hot on the promo trail in its support, he’s hitting back at detractors who mistake his ‘confidence for arrogance.’  Most recently spotted at SiriusXM cranking out live renditions of some of the album’s prized gems, look inside to hear him sound off on ‘haters’ and more:

Ally Brooke dazzled viewers of the ‘Miss Universe 2019’ pageant on Sunday (December 8) when she delivered a medley of ‘Low Key,’ ‘Higher,’ and other songs set to line her long-awaited solo debut effort.

Yet, while praise rang out on social media for the 26-year-old’s improved stage presence and confidence, that acclaim was later outpaced by a swarm of detractors who slammed the former Fifth Harmony darling for her second performance. Following her uptempo opener with a slowed salute to Queen of Tejano Selena, Brooke – a Texas native – tackled the Grammy winner’s 1995 hit, ‘Dreaming of You,’ with a stirring cover.

Unfortunately, it stirred some to anger and disappointment.  See what we mean inside:

While promoting his new book, ‘Destiny’s Child:  The Untold Story,’ their former manager Mathew Knowles told a story to our friends at VLADTV that started a firestorm.

As we reported here, the music mogul dished on the early days of the best-selling girl group by also discussing some of their early hardships.  One such “bump in the road” was an incident where, according to Knowles, a teenage Kelly Rowland reported members of R&B group Jagged Edge were harassing her and Beyoncé.  And, while Mathew never specifically stated the harassment was of a sexual nature (even though it was strongly implied), J.E.’s alleged misconduct led him to permanently dissolve his business relationship with them at the time.

Just moments after the explosive accusation hit the net Tuesday (December 10), the #Beyhive – Bey’s beloved fan group – sprung to action and began swarming the ‘Let’s Get Married’ maestros’ respective social media handles with bee emojis and insults.  The response led some of the members to clap back.
