Meagan Good takes center stage in ‘Tyler Perry’s Divorce in the Black.’

The actress leads in the role of Ava, a young bank professional whose life is rocked when he husband Dallas calls time on their marriage.

She’s hellbent on fighting for their union – until the extent of Dallas’ wicked deeds are uncovered.

In the wake of events, a journey to her true soulmate sets its wheels in motion.

Good is joined in the production by Cory Hardrict, Joseph Lee Anderson, Shannon Wallace, Taylor Polidore, Richard Lawson, and Debbi Morgan.

Speaking on the film, Perry – who wrote and directed – said:

“Making ‘Divorce in the Black’ was born out of wanting to tell Ava’s story.  She is surrounded by all this power through her foundation – her family and friends.  She has all the power inside of her but that power is somehow lost in her marriage.  So it was important for her character to find her way, to show that journey back to her power.”

Ahead of the film’s July 11 debut on Amazon’s Prime Video, the first-look trailer has been unveiled.
