Sia Furler

Having penned hits such as ‘Diamonds’ and ‘Chandelier,’ Sia stands as one of our favorite songwriters. And, based on her latest sit-down with Rolling Stone, she’s an equally compelling interviewee.

The hit-vendor is gearing up for the release of her seventh album ‘This Is Acting’ (due January 29th) and makes no secret (or apologies) about the fact the entirety of the set is made up of songs she crafted for other artists.

Speaking with RS, she dished on her experience with tracks she was initially pitching to Rihanna and Kanye West.

Her words about their creative process (or arguable lack there of) make for fascinating reading…

Adele‘s ’25’ is smashing something serious in its second week on sale.

The album is benefitting in earnest from the singer’s rejection of streaming services. Indeed, as at writing, the ‘Hello’ led LP is capitalising on its immense buzz by being only available to buy. No Spotify, no Apple Music, no Tidal.

With streaming now factoring into chart positions, many have been wondering why the Brit-bred belter has adopted such a position.

Wonder no more, because the songbird has spilled on her stance.

Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan may have topped many-a-‘greatest ever’ list over time, but for once the legendary group have to take a back seat to a relative “newcomer” – Adele.

Indeed, as the year draws to a close, Billboard is unveiling a slew of “greatest ever” lists from artists to singles and, of course, albums.  And, as fans expect to see the songstress’s new album ’25’ comfortably perched at #1 on Billboard’s chart upon its release next week, they were greeted with surprising news that its predecessor – ’21’ – is lodged at the same spot…on the greatest Billboard 200 album ever list.

The Adele avalanche has officially hit.

Just one week remains until the chart-titan’s third album ’25’ arrives and, despite lead single ‘Hello’ destroying everything in sight, the Tottenham talent is taking no chances.

She features a-front of the The Observer Music Monthly looking lush.

The cover arrives after high-profile features in the likes of iD magazine and Rolling Stone.

’25’ hits retail worldwide on November 20th and will further be supported by specials for the BBC and NBC, as well as an appearance on SNL.

Despite being just 24-years old, JoJo has endured career highs and lows well beyond her years.

Indeed, after a meteoric rise following the release of her debut album (which she unleashed aged 12), the ascent came to a screeching halt following her 2006 sophomore set ‘The High Road.’

As widely reported, the seven years that followed saw her literally unable to sell new music until she won a legal battle with former label Blackground in 2013.

Liberated and with a new label home at Atlantic Records, the songbird is back and has hatched three new songs as part of an innovative “tringle” roll-out.

And though looking forward, the titan of a talent reminisces on some the more darker days on her journey in an insightful new interview with Rolling Stone. Check it out below..

Tinashe is charging on into sophomore territory.

The eclectic stage blazer is gearing up to release her second studio album this November and it’s now been confirmed that the set has an official title – ‘Joyride.’

Due via RCA, the set will feature a collaboration with Hip-Hop titan Drake – according to Rolling Stone. Interestingly, said track was recorded for the 22-year-old’s critically acclaimed debut ‘Aquarius,’ but will instead appear on its follow-up.

Having closed the chapter for her first opus just yesterday (with final a visual for ‘Bet’ and ‘Feels Like Vegas’), the singer has unleashed a telling teaser for ‘Joyride’ and opened up about its lead single ‘Party Favors.’
