As we reported here, June 20 was scheduled to be the kick off of Taylor Swift‘s global ‘Lover’ tour – designed to support her seventh studio album of the same name.

However anxious fans – affectionately called #Swifties – had their dreams of seeing the starlet live dashed moments ago when she took to social media to announce she was not only cancelling the string of shows due to the coronavirus pandemic, but also any promotional appearances as well.

While stars the world over are banding together in aid of the coronavirus relief effort, Sam Smith has revealed they had actually suffered from Covid-19.

The singer, who is hot on the virtual promo trail for new single ‘I’m Ready (ft. Demi Lovato)’, shared the news with Zane Lowe during an interview on Apple’s Beats 1 radio.

Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, and Demi Lovato were just a few of the major names who participated in ‘The Disney Family Singalong.’

The ABC special, which opened with a surprise performance from Beyonce, was aimed at lifting spirits during this testing time.

During the broadcast, stars shared stirring renditions of Disney classics. Their showings were interspliced with PSAs designed to raise awareness and funds for those whose finances and well-being have been affected by the global health crisis.

Grande wowed with ‘Hercules’ anthem ‘I Won’t Say I’m In Love,’ while Xtina gave a rousing roar with ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ from ‘The Lion King.’ Elsewhere, Demi Lovato and Michael Bublé performed ‘A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes’ from ‘Cinderella.’

As we reported here, John Legend reported his yet-titled seventh studio album would be his sexiest yet.  Proof of that has come courtesy of its latest single, ‘Bigger Love’ (believed to be the project’s title track).

The song shares the name of his forthcoming North American tour, which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
