The music world may be on a pause of sorts in the wake of the global health crisis, but Rita Ora is aiming to uplift with new single ‘How To Be Lonely.’

Released just before the onset of the worldwide lockdowns, Ora was able to shoot the video fro the track as well as various live versions – the latest of which has been unwrapped.

Shot live from London, the stirring rendition of ‘Lonely’ sees the singer joined by a full band as she takes vocal flight.

On her motivations, the legend said:

But I’m grateful that so many of us are staying home, staying safe and, in doing so, keeping each other safe. We are united in this effort and in this moment. A year after Lifetime first announced plans to bring the true life story of Rap pioneers Salt-N-Pepa to the small screen (click here to read), the biopic’s debut trailer has arrived.

Unlike the network’s other biographical films dedicated to music’s leading female figures, the femcees’ saga won’t be limited to a one-time movie event.  Instead, it will be a three-hour series that chronicles everything from the group’s formation to its dissension and more.

Starring GG Townson and Laila Odom as Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton respectively, the unauthorized biopic boasts actor Mario Van Peebles as its director.

With Normani fans hot on the lookout for the official summer release date of her long-awaited debut album (as she reported here), the 23-year-old – despite an undoubted setback caused by the current global health crisis – is hard at work putting the finishing touches on the project.

Taking to Instagram Thursday (April 9), she sent her followers into a tizzy when she uploaded snaps of herself working at her home studio.

That excitement was only reiterated when Ryan Tedder – a prized songwriter who’s penned hits for the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Adele, and more – took to USA Today (April 10) to confirm he’s set to contribute work toward her debut LP.

Cited as an influence by many of music history’s top divas including Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, and Mary J. Blige, the group – comprised of sisters Twinkie, Jacky, Dorinda, and Karen – stand as the best-selling ensemble in Gospel history and have cranked out some of the genre’s most memorable hits like ‘Name It, Claim It,’ ‘Is My Living In Vain,’ and their game-changing, crossover hit, ‘You Brought the Sunshine.’
