Who said quarantining can’t be fun?  Just ask our girl JoJo, who recently took to Tik Tok to give her followers some much needed comic relief during the coronavirus outbreak by remixing her 2004 smash hit, ‘Leave (Get Out).’

Calling the song ‘Chill (Stay In),’ the 29-year-0ld was hoping to inspire fans to continue the practice of social distancing.

“I never thought that corona could be such a nasty b**ch / Now that she’s here, boy, all I want is for you to use common sense!” she belts.  “Stay in! Right now! / Do it for humanity. I’m dead*ss / about that / but we will survive.”

While former Fifth Harmony hitmaker Ally Brooke had just begun rocking stages across America on her inaugural solo headlining jaunt (the ‘Time to Shine’ tour), her former bandmate – Dinah Jane – was gearing up to do the same on an even bigger scale via her self-titled trek, ‘The Dinah Jane Tour.’

Much to the dismay of their fan bases, however, the ‘Work from Home’ singers will be forced to do just that as they have pressed pause on their respective itineraries due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Fleur East flew into the ears of the masses with breakout smash ‘Sax’ and hasn’t looked back since.

Rising to prominence on The X Factor, she harnessed her hype and leveraged it towards a multi-dimensional career trajectory; one that’s encompassed music, TV, and more recently radio.

Still, music has been the singer’s mainstay and it’s led her to the release of sophomore album ‘Fearless’ – the title of which is especially apt.

For, the 32-year-old is now strutting on as an independent artist after amicably parting ways with Syco.

This week brings with it the arrival of the 13-track set, which she’s unleashing on her own imprint Platinum East.

Speaking to That Grape Juice recently, the star said of the project’s sound:

“It’s still very up-tempo and still feel-good, and it’s still something you can dance to that I can sing to because I love to do that. It’s a different kind of energy. It’s not so in-your-face, it’s not so aggressive. It’s a different kind of energy. It’s quite sultry, it’s got tribal references in there. My Mum’s from Ghana so I’ve got a bit of influence from that in there. It’s quite anthem-ic as well, it’s got chants in it. I feel like people can really connect to it now because they know me a lot better now.”

Ahead of the LP’s release tomorrow (March 20th), TGJ were privy to an early listen.

It’s been nearly 11 years since Drake first appeared on the Hot 100 with his hit ‘Best I Ever Had’ (which eventually peaked at #2).

Since then, he has dominated the chart in ways unprecedented.  As if holding the record for most concurrent placements on the tally (27) isn’t enough, he long held the record for most hits among solo acts.  Bested only by the former hit television series, ‘Glee,’ the 33-year-old had been held at bay by the FOX program for years from the  record for “most Hot 100 appearances of all-time.”

That changed this week.  Details inside:

‘When They See Us,’ the Netflix miniseries that recounted the reported mishandling of the infamous Central Park Five case of the late 1980’s, has become one of the streaming giant’s most critically acclaimed offerings since arriving on the platform in summer 2019.

Yet, despite its ongoing fanfare, there’s one the award-winning, Ava Duvernay special shouldn’t expect a “thumbs up” from – author Linda Fairstein (the former Manhattan District Attorney’s office prosecutor who fought to ensure their five’s convictions).

Nine months after taking to the ‘Wall Street Journal’ to slam her portrayal in ‘When They See Us’ as ‘an outright fabrication’ (as we reported here), the 72-year-old is taking her complaints to court.
