Lauren Jauregui highlights the joys of social and emotional distancing with her new single, ’50ft.’
Speaking on the song’s creation, the former Fifth Harmony hitmaker shared:
“I wrote it from a space of reflection on how I interact with the world energetically,” Jauregui wrote in the caption of the Instagram post she shared to announce the song’s April 17 arrival. “This artwork truly encapsulates the feeling of distance spoken about in the song while asserting the closeness of my relationship to my loved ones who hold me the f*ck down always and forever in the midst of it all.”
Though she hasn’t revealed if the song is part of a forthcoming packaged EP or LP, what we do know is the 23-year-old has built quite the impressive solo discography since the group disbanded. ’50ft,’ a whole mood-and-a-half,’ is no exception.

While stars the world over are banding together in aid of the coronavirus relief effort, Sam Smith has revealed they had actually suffered from Covid-19.
The singer, who is hot on the virtual promo trail for new single ‘I’m Ready (ft. Demi Lovato)’, shared the news with Zane Lowe during an interview on Apple’s Beats 1 radio.

The ABC special, which opened with a surprise performance from Beyonce, was aimed at lifting spirits during this testing time.
During the broadcast, stars shared stirring renditions of Disney classics. Their showings were interspliced with PSAs designed to raise awareness and funds for those whose finances and well-being have been affected by the global health crisis.
Grande wowed with ‘Hercules’ anthem ‘I Won’t Say I’m In Love,’ while Xtina gave a rousing roar with ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ from ‘The Lion King.’ Elsewhere, Demi Lovato and Michael Bublé performed ‘A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes’ from ‘Cinderella.’
