Rihanna‘s strides in music, acting, fashion, and philanthropy may have made her a shoo-in for the President’s Award at the 51st annual NAACP Image Awards (February 22), but her modest yet stirring acceptance speech only confirmed why she was most worthy of the honor.

“Tonight is not really about me, because the purpose is bigger than me, right?” she said upon accepting her award. “It’s not bigger than us together, but it’s bigger than me, because my part is a very small part of the work that is being done in this world and the work that is yet to be done.”

The stars shine bright for one of Urban entertainment’s biggest calendar nights – the NAACP Image Awards! Broadcast live on BET from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in beautiful Pasadena, CA, the event – which honors the year’s best offerings from people of color in categories of film, music, television, and literature – tapped funnyman/actor Anthony Anderson as its host this year. Pop felines the Pussycat Dolls brought their blazing brand of fierce to ‘Ant & Dec’s Saturday Takeaway’ this evening.

The primetime UK show has proven a ratings magnet, hence gifted the ladies a major platform to plug new single ‘React.’

It also helped them remind the masses of their catalogue of cops, several of which they dusted off for this performance. Including ‘Don’t Cha’ and ‘Beep.’

As if sending fans into a frenzy with the announcement of her new album, ‘Good To Know‘ (due Spring 2020), and its like-titled world tour wasn’t enough, JoJo is pushing forward with the first tease of the project’s lead single.

Titled ‘Man,’ the smooth R&B-flavored cut has replaced previously announced tune, ‘Small Things,‘ as the inaugural taste of her fourth LP and is reportedly set to drop very soon.

“U know me I just don’t stop/ I been down but I’m back/ Know they all had a little crush/Now they all want a little love,” she sings.

As new voices go, few are drumming as much buzz as Jac Ross.
