Less than 24 hours after delivering her latest single, ‘Break My Heart,’ to the masses, Pop diva Dua Lipa‘s unleashing its accompanying music video.

‘Heart’ – produced by Andrew Watt and The Monsters And The Strangerz – is found aboard her sophomore album, ‘Future Nostaliga’ (available March 27), and serves as the follow-up to megahit ‘Don’t Start Now’ and 80’s-inspired jam, ‘Physical.’

“I should’ve stayed at home / ’cause now there ain’t no letting you go / Am I falling in love with the one that could break my heart,” she croons on ‘Heart’ – which houses a sample of Australian Rock band INXS’ 1987 hit, ‘Need You Tonight.’

Though earning no shortage of critical acclaim upon its January 9 release, Alicia Keys‘Underdog’ – the second single from her long-awaited seventh studio album, ‘A.L.I.C.I.A.’ – was commercially panned.

Struggling to a #93 peak on the Hot 100, the Johnny McDaid-produced cut – which boasts chart-topper Ed Sheeran among its list of songwriters – seemed poise to suffer the same fate as its Miguel-assisted predecessor, ‘Show Me Love’ (which peaked at #90).

In an ironic twist of fate, ‘Underdog’s chart story could be set to reverse.  Response to the global coronavirus pandemic, the very reason the release date of the song’s parent project was postponed (click here to read more), is giving it an unexpected second wind.

As we reported here and here, Vanessa Hudgens, Jaime King, and Queen of Pop Madonna are among the big names in Hollywood being royally dragged for making statements many deem ‘insensitive’ in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

While the heat around Hudgens has cooled, Madge and King’s backlash endures as critics considered their COVID-19 commentary ‘tone deaf’ due to seemingly disregarding the needs of the working class.  Their messages suggested the disease outbreak, despite infecting over 450,000 globally as of time reported, ultimately serves a purpose of good as it’s forced people to unite and cherish what matters most – a sentiment recently echoed by Grammy nominee Keyshia Cole.

Taking to Instagram, the ‘Heaven Sent’ hitmaker referenced a quote that asserted the pandemic was not only sent to be ‘an ally in our evolution,’ but that it’s also helpful as it’s allowed the world to reduce travel (thereby reducing pollution) and reconnect with loved ones.
