When it comes to playing double duty in front of and behind the scenes, there is arguably no other singer-songwriter this century who can boast the critical and commercial acclaim Ne-Yo has.  In addition to penning top hits for some of the industry’s biggest stars, the early part of his career saw that penmanship lend himself a few chart-toppers as well.

However, as the latter half of his tenure has seen success wane, the Grammy winner (born Shaffer Smith) – as revealed in a recent sit-down with Joe Budden‘s Web series ‘Pull Up’ – opted to take time off to regroup.  Over the course of that hiatus, he dealt with a highly publicized split from wife Crystal Smith (as we reported here).

That incident not only inspired his latest single, ‘Pinky Ring’ featuring O.T. Genasis (click here to listen), but a wealth of the content found aboard his forthcoming album, the yet-titled follow-up to 2018’s ‘Good Man’ – his worst performing LP to date.

Justin Timberlake‘s loping the promo trail in support of his forthcoming film, ‘Trolls World Tour’ – the sequel to 2016’s blockbuster animated feature ‘Trolls’ (which grossed a whopping $340 million worldwide).

While it isn’t due in theaters until April 10, its soundtrack – which features the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige, Anderson.Paak, SZA, and more – is scheduled to rock record shelves Friday (March 13).

Tapping Paak and SZA to join him on ‘Ellen’ Wednesday (March 11), Timberlake dished on the movie, how his respective collaborations with the R&B stars came to be for its companion album, and so much more.

Megan Thee Stallion is pouring out more ‘SUGA’ in the form of the project’s latest video – ‘Captain Hook.’

The fun-filled visual was directed the rapper herself, who also co-produced the track alongside LilJuMadeTheBeat.

Its arrival comes on the heels of the Platinum success of ‘Hot Girl Summer’ and recent chart blazer ‘B.I.T.C.H.’

With headlines running hot with reports Coachella 2020 is set to be rescheduled due to coronavirus fears (as we reported here), ‘Hot Girl Summer’ hitmaker Megan Thee Stallion is one of the event’s performers sounding off on the news.

Recently spotted in New York City by our friends at TMZ, the 25-year-old dished on the festival’s pending postponement as well as her March 6th-released EP, ‘Suga,’ and how it – despite initially being touted as her debut album – will serve as a means to tide fans over until she officially makes the LP drop.
