Just a year after surpassing Whitney Houston as the American Music Awards’ most awarded female artist (as we reported here), Taylor Swift – with 23 of the prism shaped trophies on her mantle – entered this year’s ceremony with multiple nominations and a chance to increase her collection.

Now, less than hour into this year’s telecast, the diva’s added two more awards to her name – a feat that’s made her the most awarded overall in the show’s history.

Ciara is set to serve as host of the American Music awards 2019. But before commencing her duties tonight, CiCi teamed up with Xfinity to deliver a bonus performance.

Backed by an army of dancers, the singer gave the first live performance of ‘Melanin.’

And while she rode solo (sans guests Lupita Nyong’o, the City Girls, Ester Dean, and Lala), she still managed to blaze the stage.

Tis the season and Mariah Carey is ringing it in!

The diva supreme kicked off her 2019 ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You Tour’ at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas this weekend and brought the festive fire.

Rocking many ensemble, Mimi took vocal flight with holiday hits such as the tour’s title track, ‘Joy To The World,’ ‘O Holy Night,’ and ‘When Christmas Comes.’

Carey also served up a live offering of one of her cornerstone cuts, ‘We Belong Together.’

ABC hit ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ is back for a sixth and final season. And fireworks have been popping all the way off.

The legal drama, which stars Emmy-winner Viola Davis, follows a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defence professor.

For six years, viewers have been engrossed with the seemingly endless array of twists and titillating turns. And for its penultimate run, it looks as though they’ll be tied up in equally exciting fashion.

Having just aired its Fall finale, the show returns on April 2nd 2020 for its final six episodes. And, by the looks of this fire-filled trailer, it’ll reach its climax with a hang.

Welcome to Retro Rewind, the TGJ original feature launched to celebrate TV and Film’s informative past.

Today, we honour ‘South Central’, a hard hitting TV show fronted by Tina Liford.

In it, a divorced mother is forced to raise three children without support from her ex-husband as she mourns the death of a son who was murdered by a gang member some time earlier.

With help from Larenz Tate, Liford and her cast pulled viewers into a world filled with highs, lows, ups and down for one season and saw it come to an end after it was cancelled by Fox.
