During Destiny’s Child‘s ground-breaking reign, the ladies firmly established themselves as a “supergroup”.

By no means editorial rhetoric, each member brought a brand and strand of unique that, when fused together, delivered dynamite results.

Yet often under-valued is the fact that each of Destiny’s divas are also solo forces in their own right.

Of course the blockbuster success of a certain mononymously named member has cemented this in some regard, however the abilities of the trio’s remaining pillars are rarely spotlighted or celebrated.

After a relatively long spell out of the spotlight, Keri Hilson is readying a chart comeback.

The singer-songwriter, whose last album ‘No Boys Allowed’ was released way back in 2010, is cooking up her third studio effort and has called on R&B’s creme de la creme to help her craft it.

Case, point, her sessions this week with htmakers Rico Love and Jim Jonsin.

The duo, who are responsible for hits such as ‘Motivation’ by Kelly Rowland and Beyonce’s ‘Sweet Dreams ‘, shared shots of themselves working with Hilson on the long-awaited project.

Two months separate Chris Brown fans from the long-awaited release of his ‘X’ LP.

With a number of cuts already floating on the interweb, Brown continues the preview party with latest track ‘New Flame’.

It was there, months removed from the new LP’s launch, did the “Simply Deep” songbird showcase the live prowess that’s turned her into one of R&B’s more revered contributors.

R&B crooner Joe joins forces with one of the genre’s leading ladies Kelly Rowland for new single ‘Love & Sex (Part 2)’.

The song, which is a sequel of sorts to the Fantasia featured original, reportedly serves as the lead single from the singer’s upcoming new album – which serves as the follow-up to last year’s ‘Doubleback: Evolution of R&B’.

Kelly Rowland turned 33 today.

The R&B songbird celebrated in style by stopping by ABC staple The View this morning.

Naturally, Barabra, Whoopi, Sherri and co didn’t hold back with their questions, quizzing the Grammy winner on her recent engagement, fitness secrets, and the X Factor USA‘s recent cancellation.

The latter was particular interesting as Rowland has remained relatively mum about the end of the show, which she joined last year as a judge- quickly becoming one of the most popular panelists.

2013 saw Fantasia serve up blazing collaborations with Destiny’s Child stars Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. As many will recall, Rowland was tapped to feature on the singer’s Urban smash ‘Without Me’, while Williams joined forces with the American Idol alum for a remix to recent Gospel single ‘If We Had Your Eyes’.

Continuing their show of sisterhood, Ms. Kelly and Michelle paid a visit to the ‘Lose To Win’ singer backstage at ‘After Midnight’ – the hit Broadway show she’s currently starring in.

Already great to see the talented support one another.
