Racking up critical acclaim aplenty for her latest studio album, ‘Lovers Rock,’ Brit-born R&B singer Estelle continues to deliver tastes of the project’s diverse palette of tunes with the latest coming via the sexy ‘Lights Out.’
“Cause there ain’t no question, my mind’s always open for you / I wanna be the one you run to / Call it obsession, but my body’s calling for you / I’ve fallen for you,” the Grammy-winner coos over the Caribbean-tinged beat.
Like the album’s previous visuals, the video to ‘Lights Out’ was directed by Denzel Williams. Bringing the tune to life by using an the beauty of Australia as a backdrop, look inside to see Estelle go ‘down under’ for the long-awaited clip:
While many-a-viewer was praying Madonna would find and stay on the right key while performing her legendary hit, ‘Like a Prayer,’ at the 2019 Eurovision Songwriting Contest yesterday (May 18), others scolded the diva for stirring controversy during her musical medley.
As we reported here, before the Pop icon’s performance was even confirmed for the showing the rumor alone was greeted with protests from pro-Palestinian activists who were pressuring companies, performers, and more to disengage from Israel as this year’s contest, the 64th annual, was hosted in Tel Aviv.
Madge shrugged off protests and argued her performance would be used to promote unity. It did everything but.
Ahead of a stunning performance of the cut on last night’s ‘SNL’ as seen here (May 18), DJ Khaled‘s ‘Jealous’ got the video treatment via an Eif Rivera-directed clip.
Famously sampling Diana King‘s signature 90’s hit, ‘Shy Guy,’ the tune – found aboard Khaled’s recently released, ‘Father of Asahd’ – features longtime collaborators Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and Big Sean. Its cinematic accompanying music video, which registers in at a whopping 8-minutes, sees a cameo from Khaled’s ‘Dinero’ co-star Jennifer Lopez and so many more.

Months before making her film debut in the Jennifer Lopez-led stripper film, ‘Hustlers’ (click here to read more about that), burgeoning diva Lizzo will be making her televised awards show performance debut via the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards next month.
Having already rocked the house at the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards earlier this year, the 31-year-old is certainly no stranger to award shows. This time, however, her performance will hit television screens across the nation and sees her join a bill that features the likes of Martin Garrix, Macklemore, Patrick Stump, and more.
From The Vault is back this week with a powerful double-duo. Long before Normani and Khalid’s ‘Love Lies,’Luther Vandross and Janet Jackson proved a formidable force on flavorsome jam ‘The Best Things In Life Are Free.’
In 1992, legendary team Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis were tasked with producing the original soundtrack to crime comedy ‘Mo’ Money’ – starring Damon Wayans, Stacey Dash and Bernie Mac. And they made sure to arrange an A-list affair.
The album housed contributions from the likes of Johnny Gill, MC Lyte, and Public Enemy, but the most notable came courtesy of Jackson and Vandross with ‘Free.’ Also part of the track’s creation were Bell Biv DeVoe and Ralph Tresvant.
The New-Jack-Swing number was yet another hit for the duo, peaking at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US and #2 in the UK – Jackson’s first Top 10 in the country since 1987’s ‘Let’s Wait Awhile.’ It spent 5 consecutive weeks at #2 on the Australian Singles Chart.

Although neither Janet nor Luther were available to shoot the tune’s visual, director Paris Barclay still managed kept things interesting by featuring the movie’s leads having a fun-filled day at the carnival. Alongside Damon and Stacey, Marlon Wayans – who also stars in the flick – can be seen lip-syncing the rap section of the song while scenes from the film are shown.

The talent that was Luther Vandross will be forever unparalleled. From his tone and range, to his technique and lyrics, he has an unshakable place up-there amongst the greatest to ever do it. One of the most vocally versatile too.

Foxy Brown has been off the chart radar for well over 15 years. And if new fans are what she was hoping to to gain with her appearance at Kandi’s ‘Dungeon Tour,’ she may need a backup plan. Because the showing last night didn’t play out as planned.
As we reported here, Queen of Pop Madonna was confirmed as the headliner for grand finale of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.
Hosted by Bar Refaeli, Erez Tal, Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub, the 64th edition of the contest – which was filmed in Tel Aviv, Israel this year – aired Saturday (May 18) and saw the Pop diva performing her classic hit, ‘Like A Prayer,’ as well as her recently released single, ‘Future’ (featuring Migos star Quavo), and other new material from her June 14-due album, ‘Madame X.’
