With the July 28 release date of his fifth studio album, the eponymous ‘Austin,’ looming, Post Malone (born Austin Post) is giving fans yet another taste of what they can expect from the 17-track effort before it hits digital shelves.

Having already served the singles ‘Chemical‘ and ‘Overdrive‘ to various successes, Post is now giving the LP’s critically acclaimed single ‘Mourning‘ the video treatment.

“Don’t wanna sober up / Try to keep it inside, but I just wanna pour it,” he wails on the hook of the Louis Bell & Watt-produced track. “Thought I was strong enough / Got a lot of sh-t to say, couldn’t fit in the chorus.”

Already a top 40 hit thanks to a previous peak of #36, will the official video be just what’s needed to push the tune to higher Hot 100 heights? See the Ramez Silyan-directed action inside and tell us your thoughts.

Noah Kahan has been busy making music for some time now, before having his big breakthrough this year.

If there is any evidence of that – other than scoring his first top 10 album on the Billboard 200 – it is his collaboration with Post Malone called ‘Dial Drunk.’

Originally a solo song that appeared on his ‘Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever),’ Malone decided to join and give a verse of his own.

Drinks pourin’, couldn’t stop it/ Turn another slow dance into a mosh pit,” he sings.

The news of Malone’s latest song comes after he released the song ‘Overdrive’ from his upcoming ‘Austin’ album .

Post Malone is sharing a third taste of his upcoming album with the release of his latest song, ‘Overdrive.’

I tender, pop ballad, Malone reflects on the pitfalls of fame and the challenges that it brings along the way.

I spend my nights on overdrive/ I live my life so over-tired /And there’s nowhere I can hide / I’d remove my tattoos if that’s cool to you / I’d do anything to be cool to you — and at what cost,” he sings.

The song was co-written with Malone, Louis Bell, Andrew Watt, and Billy Walsh. It follows the previously released offerings ‘Chemical’ and ‘Mourning.’

As only two months separate fans of Post Malone from his forthcoming album, ‘Austin,’ they should expect to hear a lot of noise around the highly anticipated project in the coming weeks ahead of its arrival on July 28.

Following the April-released single, ‘Chemical‘ (which stalled just outside of the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 at #13), Posty is hoping for better luck with its official follow-up: ‘Mourning.’

“Don’t want to sober up / The sun is killin’ my buzz, that’s why they call it “Mourning” / Thought I was strong enough / Threw my bottle at the sky, said, “God, that’s a warning,” the 27-year-old croons on the Louis Bell-produced track.

Expected to be one of many gems performed on Malone’s forthcoming ‘If Ya’ll Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying Tour’ tour, hop inside to hear ‘Mourning’ before the delivery of its accompanying video (which is reportedly being filmed in Scotland).

In late October 2022, Bruno Mars made history when he became the first artist to be attached to six Diamond-certified songs from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). “Diamond” denotes sales equivalence of 10 million in the United States.

The RIAA only credited five of those songs to the ‘Grenade’ singer’s cumulative count, a historic feat that was matched in February when The Weeknd‘s ‘Earned It’ earned him the fifth Diamond plaque of his career.

As fans of music’s leading crooners waited with bated breath to see who would break the tie, popular rapper Post Malone surprised with an upset Thursday (April 20) when it was announced he is now the sole owner of the record-breaking title for most Diamond-certified singles.

“You break me, then I break my rules/ Last time was the last time too/ It’s f-cked up, I know, but I’m still/ Outside of the party, smokin’ in the car with you,” he spits on the Louis Bell-produced track.

At the height of its popularity, Post Malone and Swae Lee‘s ‘Sunflower’ (found aboard the soundtrack of 2018’s animated film ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’) not only topped the Hot 100 but entered history books for becoming one of the longest-running top 10 hits of all time.

Racking up a whopping 33 weeks in the chart territory (a record for a soundtrack single), the only duet to have enjoyed a longer stay there overall was The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber‘s 2021 smash ‘Stay‘ (which lasted 47 weeks).

The Malone and Lee song’s impressive commercial performance was also evidenced by its 11x Platinum certification at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of 11 million in the United States by November 2020.

Two years later, the enduring success of ‘Sunflower’ sees it planted in the record books of the RIAA as well. Look inside to see how.
