While supporters of racial equality celebrated today’s announcement of Colin Kaepernick becoming one of the prominent faces of Nike’s 30th anniversary “Just Do It” ad campaign, some of the cause’s detractors have taken to Twitter in protest by filming and photographing the destruction of Nike apparel and paraphernalia.

To review, ESPN’s Darren Rovell reported Nike has held Kaepernick under contract since the beginning of the decade and even through the time his stance begin stirring controversy.  With today’s news bringing his professional relationship with the company to the forefront, some have begun distancing themselves in drastic ways.
