Once a proud proponent of the “album a year” model, Rihanna has in recent years steered in a different direction.

But that hasn’t been without bumps along the way.

Indeed, her last album ‘ANTI’ was marred by multi-year delays and spurned several “lead singles” before eventually striking gold with Drake collaboration ‘Work.’

And while the 2016 set would go on to birth other moderate hits such as ‘Needed Me’ and ‘Love On The Brain,’ it didn’t deliver smashes in the manner she’s accustomed to. A reality some say caused the LP’s like-titled tour to routinely play to half-empty venues.

To remedy this, RiRi is reportedly looking to embrace a more mainstream sound on her next go round.

Looks like Lil Dicky was just the tricky to help R&B bad boy Chris Brown ascend back to top 10 glory on the Hot 100.  The crooner – who not only released mixtapes and a 45 track studio album (‘Heartbreak on a Full Moon’) last year but was also featured on countless other rappers and singers’ offerings – has consistently missed the chart’s upper rankings despite firing a number of shots in its direction.

Now, after several tries, it appears ‘Freaky Friday’ is the charm.

As we reported here, the cut zoomed to the top of the iTunes tally just a day after its release.  Seven days later, after its streaming, radio airplay, and digital downloads sums have been counted, ‘Friday’ is a tenant in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.  Coming as Brown’s first occupancy of a space in the top 10 since 2013’s ‘Loyal,’ look below to see exactly where he landed:

To the surprise of…well…no one, VH1 absolutely dominated Monday night (March 26) ratings.

In fact, among non-sports related or non-news related cable programming, the network’s shows occupied the top 4 slots of the night’s 50 most watched original telecasts.  With the usual tally-toppers – ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ & ‘Leave It To Stevie’ – leading the pack, the duo of series was joined by newcomer, ‘Teyana & Iman.’

Making its highly anticipated premiere on Monday night, the reality series – which chronicles the life and love of singer/actress Teyana Taylor and basketball player Iman Shumpert – was greeted with such fanfare it landed in the top 5 of the night’s overall airings.
