Janet Jackson is lining up a week of excitement for the launch of her new jam ‘Made For Now.’
The Harmony Samuels production serves as the first taste of fresh material from the megastar in over three years and she’s treating its release like the event it is.
Fresh from announcing its release and unveiling its cover, Jackson has revealed that the cut’s Dave Meyers directed video will arrive simultaneously (on August 17th).
And, as if that wasn’t titillating enough, she’ll be taking to the stage on a major platform on the same day to perform the song alongside Daddy Yankee.
Normani showed up and showed out at the Teen Choice Awards 2018 last night.
With premiere solo offering ‘Love Lies’ sitting pretty at #15 on the Hot 100 and her debut album serving as one of the most anticipated in recent memory, the Fifth Harmony star continues to signal her arrival with high profile appearances.
Looking like a bonafide star, the 22-year-old turned heads as she stepped on the electric pink carpet.
Inside, she caught up with ‘Love Lies’ collaborator Khalid and 5H bandmate Ally Brooke -who, as we exclusively reported, recently signed to Atlantic Records.
Omarosa is determined to lift the lid on Donald Trump’s deepest, darkest & racially-motivated secrets with her new book ‘Unhinged.’
Stung by his decision to fire her, Omarosa waged war on Trump (whose father was a member of the barbaric KuKluxKlan), by spreading his business like butter on warm toast in the book and in conversations with the press!
Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Queen’ has reigned over the iTunes charts since its unexpected release on Friday (August 10).
Storming the digital charts shortly after its release (unseating Jason Mraz‘s ‘Know’ in the process), the album has held a tight grip atop the U.S. sales tally well over the weekend – a feat that shows no signs of slowing over the course of its inaugural tracking week (as of time reported). Even the rap diva herself took to Instagram to report the project had become the first female rap album to simultaneously hit #1 on the sales tallies of 81 different countries (click here to see that).
And, as if that’s not enough to celebrate, Minaj recently learned ‘Fefe’ – her controversial collaboration with rapper 6ix9ine – has crossed the platinum threshold just less than two weeks after it hit Gold.
Weeks after the rumor mill began swirling that pop queen Janet Jackson was hard at work on new music, behind the scenes footage from a once-unnamed music video starring the youngest Jackson began circulating (click here to see that).
Once outlets began reporting the accompanying tune was titled ‘Made For Now’ and featured Latin star Daddy Yankee, anticipation for its release reached a feverish pitch.
Now, taking to social media, Jackson’s not only confirmed the rumors were true, but has also revealed we are much closer to the cut’s release date than originally believed. See details inside:
From The Vault journeys back to the year 2003, when a certain rising diva was releasing one of her most acclaimed tracks.
This week’s pick is Christina Aguilera’s ‘The Voice Within.’
The ballad was the fifth and last single to be serviced from Xtina’s game-changing LP ‘Stripped.’
Christina penned the cut alongside Glen Ballard, who also handled the production.
Because of its inspirational theme, it was compared to the work of the likes of Whitney Houston and especially Mariah Carey – both of whom respectively dominated the airwaves years prior with songs like ‘The Greatest Love Of All’ and ‘Hero.’
Though not as big as its predecessors, the track was a moderate success around the world, peaking at #33 on home-soil and entering the Top 10 in both Canada and the UK, at #10 and #9 respectively.

After directing the visuals for previous singles ‘Dirrty’ and ‘Can’t Hold Us Down,’ the mighty David LaChapelle handed the reign once again to illustrate the soaring track.
The result was a monochrome, one take affair where the singer left her raunchy persona at the door to reveal herself in a raw, naturalistic manner.
It praised by critics who seriously enjoyed its more stripped back approach and was nominated for various VMAs in 2004.

We long for the days Ms. Aguilera would be at every opening of a door performing something, somewhere.
With new album ‘Liberation,’ we really thought that by telling the masses that she was back to being a full-time musician that she also meant promoting her music. But obviously we were wrong…
Still, the ‘Liberation Tour’ is something to look forward to, as well as the end of lengthy gaps between projects.
Let’s hope the voice within her keeps her on that very path this time around.
