Fans of 7-time Grammy winner Toni Braxton (affectionately called ‘Toni’s Tigers’) had an 8 year wait between the singer’s last solo outing, 2010’s ‘Pulse,’ and her most recent effort, ‘Sex & Cigarettes.’
‘Cigarettes,’ which hit shelves March 23rd, was preceded by the critically acclaimed Urban AC cuts ‘Deadwood’ and ‘Long As I Live’ and was greeted with generally positive reviews. Unfortunately, that fanfare was not reflected commercially as – just a day after its release – industry analysts predicted the set would not shift more than 18,000 units SPS its first week of availability.
