Alexandra Burke is back!

The vocal powerhouse is gearing up for the release of ‘The Truth Is’ – her first album in six years.

Due on March 16th, the set is preceded by lead single ‘Shadow’ – which has received a positive response upon its debut this month.

As she hits the promotional trail to signal her return, the 29-year-old poses it up in the newest issue of You Magazine.

In a shoot lensed by Rachell Smith, the songstress strikes a number of stunning poses.

Mo’Nique has been on quite the crusade of late as she tries to rally up the troops for her Netflix boycott.

And while this time she’s campaigning against perceived race and gender bias, the episode has seen her bring up an earlier issue with Oprah Winfrey and Lee Daniels.

Stressing Hollywood’s bigger with under-compensating, she has been re-treading her time promoting ‘Precious’ as an example.

Indeed, as many will remember, the comedienne demanded to be compensated from the film studio to promote the movie internationally. She would later go on to claim that Daniels (who, together with Winfrey, tried to convince her to participate in promotion) let her know that she had been “blacklisted” due to her lack of compliance.

In a new interview to promote ‘Wrinkle In Time,’ Winfrey was quizzed about it squarely.

‘Married To Medicine’ has returned for its 5th firework filled season.

The popular Bravo series chronicles the lives of group of ladies – some of whom work in the medical field and others who are married to those who do.

Already gripping viewing, this season sees Dr. Jackie deal with a shocking blow to her marriage, while Quad is still trying to find balance in hers. Dr. Heavenly remains at the center of conflict and cracks are starting to show in Dr. Simone‘s union.

Its latest endeavour? The Roxanne Shante biopic.

Named ‘Roxanne Roxanne‘ the movie tells the true tale of the lyricist’s ascent to glory on the wings of a dark but inspiring journey which saw her battle predators, poverty and societal pushbacks to become one of Hip-Hop’s most celebrated women.

Nia Long and Mahershala Ali support Chante Adams as she takes on its leading role as well as Pharrell Williams…one of the movie’s producers.

March 23rd marks the spot.
