The move to Tuesdays hasn’t proven itself the most lucrative for ABC hit comedy, ‘Black-ish’ (Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross).  Airing on Wednesdays for seasons 1-3, the show’s quaternary season premiere (October 3) saw it relocated to Tuesday nights and pitted up against ratings titans ‘This Is Us’ (NBC) and ‘Bull’ (CBS).

Sadly, despite critical acclaim for the timely, “in your face” subject matter presented on last night’s episode, its viewership did not reflect the fanfare.

Demi Lovato is in top form if the Hot 100 is anything to judge by.

In addition to seeing her sixth album, ‘Tell Me You Love Me,’ headed straight to the top of album streaming charts next week (#2 overall on the Billboard 200), the powerhouse songstress is also shining on the singles charts.

The set’s lead single, ‘Sorry Not Sorry,’ was released back in early July but – thanks to renewed interest in the track due to promotion of its parent project – the Oak Felder-produced cut has found its way to the top 10.  Coming as not only a victory for Lovato (whose last top 10 hit, ‘Heart Attack,’ peaked in the chart’s topmost dectet in 2013), but also for women overall as this year’s Hot 100 – especially the top 10 – has certainly been in need of some estrogen doses.

See who joins her on the Cardi B-led chart on this week’s refreshed “Chart Check:  Hot 100”:

The reality of Miley Cyrus‘ predicament seems to be having a stinging effect on the singer.

Indeed, despite initial promise, her stripped back reinvention with new album ‘Younger Now’ hasn’t garnered appreciation from critics or fans; the latter of which have not been rushing to buy the set as they did with prior projects.

During an interview with on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM show today, she offered a reaction of sorts to the matter.

The last decade, believe it or not, has seen Nicki Minaj’s discography outsell Lil Kim‘s.

In the same time, efforts have been made to rewrite Kim’s history and unfairly use her more recent career missteps to diminish her legacy and the part she played in building Minaj as we know her today.

Leading the charge to ensure the world throws respect on her name? A fan base who have elevated her to meteoric heights on Spotify.

It’s finally showtime for ABC’s ‘American Idol’ revival.

Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Country star Luke Bryan commenced filming for the talent-search in New York City yesterday. And now the first snap of them together has been released. They were joined by returning host Ryan Seacrest.

The trio, whose combined salary is reportedly close to $50 million (half of which is going to Perry alone), were all smiles as work began.

Taping will continue over the next few months and the show will hit screens early 2018.

A lot has been made about the reboot (good and bad), but we’re willing to give it a chance. Are you?

Your thoughts?
