It’s just been a winning week for Mariah Carey.

The same day Billboard reported her perennial hit ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You‘ had become the overall longest-reigning #1 hit in the Hot 100’s 67-year history, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) revealed the tune now sits at 18x Platinum for sales of 18 million in the United States – making it the highest-certified female hit in that organization’s 73-year history.

While the diva’s beloved fans (affectionately called #Lambs) were busy trumpeting those wins, however, another major chart victory skirted by less celebrated.

The Backstreet Boys are basking in the nostalgia of the 25th anniversary of their ‘Millennium’ album.

As reported, the quintet is earning rave reviews for their ongoing residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas and are set to bring the celebration of the mega-selling project to European shores in 2026 with their ‘Into The Millennium HOMECOMING: Live in Germany’ residency.

In lighting a fresh match under both ventures, Brian, Nick, Kevin, AJ, and Howie have recreated the video for their signature hit, ‘I Want It That Way.’

New Edition brought their trademark brand of melodic magic to The View stage.

The soulful sextet unwrapped festive cheer with a performance of ‘All I Want For Christmas Is My Girl’ and ‘Candy Girl.’

Their showing comes ahead of the February launch of their eagerly awaited trek, The New Edition Way Tour.

The Academy has revealed its shortlists across 12 categories for the upcoming 98th Oscars, and two titles are already pulling ahead of the pack. ‘Sinners’ and ‘Wicked: For Good’ have positioned themselves as early standouts, landing on every shortlist they were eligible for, a feat no other films managed this year.

Tank gives Janet Jackson‘s 1986 smash ‘Control‘ a 2025 facelift courtesy of his new single of the same name.

Trading the original’s high energy for a slow-burning approach, the 5-time GRAMMY nominee’s take on the tune flips Janet’s classic on its head sonically and conceptually.

“Control / I now all of your spots, I’m in / Control / Take this ride, lose your mind when I’m inside,” he sings on the Bizness Boi, Abi, Crater, Oh Gosh Leotus, and Dylan Hyde-produced chorus.

A commanding bedroom-ready bop, Tank’s sizzling slow jam – officially released on November – saw its accompanying music video released this week.

Over a year after Travis Scott hopped on the remix to Tyla‘s breakout hit ‘Water,’ the South African hitmaker returned the favor by lending her vocals to his ‘Jackboys 2‘ track ‘PBT (Pretty Brown Thing).’

“Well, it’s that pretty brown round thing / You should be mine, you should get a ring / You know I’ll five-star entertain / Baby, just tell me you feel the samе,” Scott croons over BBYKOBE production.

Although it was officially released over the summer, this week saw the Vybz Kartel-assisted tune finally get the video treatment.

As the critical acclaim continues to roll in for Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Christmas in Paris‘ concert film, the Pop diva is still giving fans who couldn’t make it to the theater tastes of the project’s incredible production.

Having already gifted the official video rollout to her versions of ‘My Favorite Things‘ and Stevie Wonder‘s classic ‘Someday at Christmas,’ Aguilera most recently lifted the visual to her stirring rendition of ‘Ave Maria‘ to her YouTube handle.

Tapping internationally renown singer-model Yseult to assist, their angelic take on the yuletide favorite easily came as the duet we didn’t know we needed.
