‘America’s Got Talent’ has been sued after one of its judges Tyra Banks was accused of mocking, teasing and assaulting a young girl on set.

A 18-page lawsuit filed on Tuesday claims tells the tale. On March 19th, a couple made their merry way to the show to audition with a song they penned about their daughter’s birth.

Alas, the couple says thing took a turn for the horrific when the judges are said to have laughed at the performance and Tyra sunk her claws into the daughter (named “Mary” in the suit).

‘Deadline’ adds:

The suit claims that during the performance, Banks, “an individual acting as an agent of Defendants (AGT), physically manipulated and verbally abused Mary. Banks shook Mary’s shoulder, pulled Mary’s hair back and physically manipulated Mary. … Mary did not stop Banks’ conduct because Mary was fearful. Banks also insinuated that Mary was accidentally conceived, made fun of the performance and ridiculed [the song] in front of Mary, all in front of active cameras that were filming Mary. After the performance, Banks asked Mary to describe, in front of active and filming cameras, her opinion about Jane and her husband after they were publicly ridiculed by AGT.

Banks alleged assault is said to have flung the young girl into a deep depression prompting her guardians to seek justice via a jury trial.

DJ Khaled is said to be hard at work on plans which he hopes will see him replace L.A. Reid at Epic.

Reid’s fans will know that he was forced to abandon his role as CEO at the label following the unearthing of sexual assault allegations leaving the position open.

Home to Mariah Carey, Zara Larrson, Jennifer Lopez and Fifth Harmony, Epic falls under the Sony umbrella and is now on the hunt for a money-making industry power player to fill Reid’s multi-platinum shoes.

A source close to Khaled said of his plans…

He was petitioning to get that job. He’s like, ‘I make more happen than anyone in the game, why would I not be considered to run the label. Khaled is a big hype machine — not a person who’s running a record label. My guess is [Sony Music UK CEO] Jason Iley will run either Columbia or Epic or they will take [RCA president] Tom Corson . . . and put him at Columbia or Epic.

If he gets his way, Khaled would be charged with overseeing the careers of th aforementioned acts and steering the label to new creative ground as it continues to find its feet.

‘Black Panther‘ actor Michael B. Jordan is the latest celebrity to be targeted by thieves this year after his home was burgled recently.

Located in San Fernando, his property was broken into by unscrupulous villains who made away with cash and jewellery.

Fortunately, nobody was home at the time.

The crime came after Nicki Minaj, Drake, Chris Brown and Scott Disick all faced similar drama when their properties (all based in and around the Los Angeles area) were targeted by thieves.

Quite interestingly, police are said to believe that Michael’s break-in was a random hit.

On a lighter note, production on the aforementioned ‘Panther’ continues to yield sweet results for its cast and crew before its release in the February of 2018.

Set to star in the epic cinematic adventure? Chadwick Boseman, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’O, Daniel Kaluuya, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira and…Michael.

Hilarious might be one word to describe the situation over at the VH1 series ‘Basketball Wives LA‘.

Introduced as the sister show of the series ‘Basketball Wives Miami’, the series’ cast was shaken up by the arrival of ‘Miami’ wives Shaunie O’Neal and Tami Roman during its fourth season.

Why they were forced to abandon their own ship?

The departure of its leading lady and ratings-puller Evelyn Lozada.

This season, with Lozada back in the mix, the aforementioned Roman and O’Neal front a revamped version of the LA-based series sans some of the ladies who carried it prior to their intrusion.

So, why has the situation become hilarious? The ratings boost brought about by Brandi Maxiell, a ‘Wife’ O’Neal has spent three seasons trying to fire.

On April 17th, the show’s season six premiere pulled in 2.61 million viewers who tuned in to catch Lozada’s long-awaited return to the lowbrow fray.

However, by May 7th (only four episodes into the cycle) that number slipped to a worryingly low 650,000 as storylines fronted by O’Neal and the gang failed to sustain its high.

This is where things get interesting.

For, the following episode saw the show soar to the 1.8 million viewers point followed by another which swam to the 1.9 million mark.

What (or who) saved it from its slump?

Undoubtedly unimpressed by her “dismissal”, a total of 3,790,000 viewers tuned in to catch Maxiell’s comeback episodes between May 8th and May 15th.

Hilarious, as she is only credited as a recurring character on the show.

The original appealed to us more on the merit of its video than the song itself, something that doesn’t change despite the special guests enlisted here.

Still, we challenge any 90s reared listener to not geek out at the alignment of these boundary-breaking women.

The name of monster responsible for the deaths of 22 men, women and children at last night’s Ariana Grande concert has been revealed.

Salman Abedi.

Unfortunately, the nature of the device he used to carry out the attack has led police to believe that he didn’t act alone.

Michael Jackson is a proven force – both in life and in death. Indeed, since his 2009 passing, the late great megastar has grossed more than $1 billion posthumously

It’s little wonder, then, why the King Of Pop’s Estate are playing no games when it comes to use of his likeness and legacy by parties unaffiliated with them.

This weekend sees Lifetime debut ‘Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland’ – a dramatisation of MJ’s final years. And the Estate are not happy.

Releasing a statement to the press, they slammed the production – as well as other projects such as a Netflix cartoon about Jackson. They also hinted at new titles that they are working on.

Here’s what was said:

To clear up any confusion or misperceptions about unsanctioned Michael Jackson projects currently in the news — including a Lifetime television movie and an animated film script recently purchased by Netflix — the Estate of Michael Jackson does not license or permit the use of any rights it owns, including to Michael’s music, images, video and films, for use in unauthorized works seeking to exploit Michael’s legacy. The Estate itself has numerous projects in development, all of which respect, honor and celebrate Michael’s life and legacy along with his extraordinary artistry that touched fans throughout the world. When the executors are ready to announce them, they will. As Michael said countless times about his own work, the quality goes in before the name goes on. [Source]

For those wondering how the aforementioned projects are able to proceed without the Estate’s approval, MJ is a public figure. Thus making it fair game to produce movies like the one Lifetime are about to debut. What folk won’t see or hear in the films though – as the statement stresses – is any of his music, videos, or performances. Which, for an act like MJ, begs the question of: what’s the point?

Still, it’s more than clear at this point that his narrative will remain something of public fascinating forever.

Katy Perry’s PR problems are set to intensify this week after sources close to the ‘Saturday Night Live‘ production camp claimed she pulled drag queens out of one of her performances on the show.

Why?

Because her ‘Bon Appetit‘ collaborators Migos asked her to.

Already under fire for remarks Perry’s fans deemed homophobic, the thriving Hip-Hop group were said to be incensed when they discovered that the Pop singer had invited drag queens to perform the cut alongside them on Saturday night.

One dancer revealed…

I was one of the performers on that table with them the whole time, during the rehearsal for 3 days. On the day of the filming, when I got there, I was told to leave. I wasn’t on the set at the time, but we were asking what happened. They said it was because Migos doesn’t feel comfortable with having drag queens there.

An ‘SNL’ staffer supported this with…

I work at SNL and the rumors are true! Migos held up rehearsal because they ‘weren’t comfortable with the drag queens’ being there. There were initially more drag queens on the set for that song, but after Migos threw a fit, Katy Perry’s team removed some of the queens from the performance. Additionally, Katy Perry didn’t invite any of the queens to the afterparty… So, none of them were allowed in.

Why do you think Migos would have a problem performing with drag queens?
