Season 9 of ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ reached its dramatic climax last night, but the fireworks look set to pop all the way off during its four-part reunion.

Set to kick off this coming Sunday, the gathering will see Kandi‘s feud with Porsha and Phaedra reach boiling point, while Kenya comes under scrutiny for her suspect relationships.

And there’s a whole lot more.

Following the release of an initial look-see, an extended preview has been unleashed…

Beyonce continues to wrack up the accolades – even for her older work.

2011 brought with it the singer’s 4th opus, the aptly titled ‘4.’ And as with many of Queen Bey’s releases, the album birthed many a video including the scintillating ‘Dance For You.’

Directed by brother-in-law Alan Ferguson, the clip – which is inspired by 1940’s film noir – has reached a major milestone. It has become VEVO Certified.

The high-octane visual, shot while she was pregnant with Blue Ivy, crossed the mark over the weekend and now sits at over 100 million views.

*************

Notable is the fact that the song was never serviced as a single and came at a time when Bey begun doing away with song-focal release strategies and instead pushed visuals to the forefront.

Sure we wished ‘’Dance’ was was showered with the success it deserved (given that it’s a BOP), but feats like this prove that great content will always find a way to win. Congrats!

What are Your Top 5 Songs of The Moment?

Janet Jackson has been trending on social media and newswires all day after a source revealed she and husband Wissam Al Mana have split.

Fans have waited feverishly to hear official word from the fiercely private singer about the validity of the claim. Especially given that the superstar and billionaire Al Mana welcomed their first child, a son named Eissa, just three months ago.

And now said confirmation has arrived.

A rep for Jackson, 50, told ABC News that the couple, who have been married for five years, are no longer together.

Interestingly, the rep says the pair are separating – not divorcing.

The break-up brings an end to Jackson’s third marriage. She previously wed James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo.

Our thoughts go out to Janet during what must be a difficult time.

Rihanna‘s crowd-pleasing performance in ‘Bates Motel’ has reportedly seen her become a frontrunner for a leading role in the forthcoming ‘Matrix’ reboot.

Christina Aguilera fans are hungry for new music, not Oreos. And they’re making it oh so clear.

As reported, Xtina has been tapped by the cookie company to front a series of commercials.

Yet, when she took to Twitter to plug the latest – the replies were less than endorsing from her fanbase.

Scathing.

Given Xtina’s countless promises of new music and general lack of communication with fans, it’s little surprise that they are riled up.

Her last album ‘Lotus’ dropped five years ago and despite birthing the bop of life (‘Your Body’) was a colossal flop. Hence, she simply does not have the luxury of behaving like she has been.

Yes, greatness takes time. So on and so forth. But…no.

That said, the very fact they are angry oddly has its benefits  because it means there’s still folk out there that care. Indifference is the ultimate career death knell.

Fingers crossed Christina comes through sooner rather than later. If not, there may be a riot. Ki.

It’s official. Britney Spears‘ Las Vegas residency ‘Piece Of Me’ will play its final show at the end of this year.

Confirmation came courtesy of the superstar’s long-time manager Larry Rudolph in an interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal.

He said of the Planet Hollywood production, he said:

“We are done with this show, and our next move is undecided. We are still talking with Caesars Entertainment and other interested parties in Las Vegas.

Anything is possible. We have made zero decisions. We expect a lot of interest from all parties. Britney basically sells out every show, and she loves Las Vegas, she loves performing in Vegas, and Vegas is a possibility going forward.

She might tour, she might work on a new album. It’s too early to talk specifics about anything.”

Since starting in 2013, ‘Britney: Piece Of Me’ has played to more than 700,000 people and grossed well over $100 million.

All we can say is…finally!

For as much as the venture has lined her pockets (and everyone else involved), it’s arguably caused her commercial relevance to evaporate. Just look at her latest album ‘Glory.’ Though housing her strongest music in years, it has sold just 300,000 copies worldwide since last August.

Hence, it’s for that exact reason that all that banter about another Vegas show should cease…for now.

At 35 she’s in a sweet-spot in that she can still have appeal to younger audiences and cater to older supporters.

She would be smart to capitalize on this now, hit hard with a new material and pair it with global promo/touring to support. Thereafter, she should do whatever she wants (even another Vegas show).  But only after.

Just our two cents. What are…

While the streaming war seems to have cooled in recent times, Jay Z is taking major measures to heighten the exclusivity of his TIDAL platform.

Earlier times saw services spar with exclusive albums by top-tier talent; yet with UMG releases forbidding that practice for any of its artists, Jigga seems to be taking another route.

Omission.

It has been confirmed that the mogul has snatched many of his albums and song releases from both Spotify and Apple Music.

As at writing, the only LP’s of his present on either service are 1997’s ‘In My Lifetime Vol. 1’, ‘Reasonable Doubt’, and 1998’s ‘Vol. 2 Hard Knock Life.’ His 2004 collaboration album with Linkin Park also remains.

The timing of the move, which some are calling a “nuclear operation,” is interesting.

Jay is set to perform at a number of high-profile events this year, including London’s V Festival. All of which has many believing that new music is nigh.

If indeed the case, it’s plausible that he’s establishing TIDAL as the go-to place to listen to his iconic catalogue – which will no doubt be thrust under the spotlight upon the release of anything new.

One has to wonder if any of TIDAL’s other “artist owners,” such as Rihanna, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and Beyonce, will follow suit.

Pop icon Janet Jackson once warned us not to believe anything until we hear it “from her lips,” but that hasn’t stopped the internet from going wild after “sources” reported the diva headed to divorce court from third husband/billionaire boo Wissam Al Mana – three months after giving birth to her first child (at age 50).

The story, broken just yesterday, has blown the f*** up and, per usual, has all of Twitter chatting.  Tuck in below to see some of the hilarious responses to the unconfirmed report of Jan’s third divorce:

This week, we salute an Urban classic by a Rap heavyweight and a vocal wonder.

Today’s pick is ‘I Know What You Want’ by Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey.

After the dancehall-dipped ‘Make It Clap’ failed to enter the Top 40 of the US charts, the ‘Want’ was chosen as the second single from the rapper’s sixth album ‘It Ain’t Safe No More.’ With guest verses from Busta’s Flipmode Squad, it heavily featured Mimi – who was in a an interesting phase in her career (post-Glitter, Pre-Emancipation).

After a number of years under-performing, the track was no doubt a reminder of the commercial clout Mariah still had.

‘Want’ brought both artists back in the Top 5, peaking at #3 on the Hot 100 in 2003 – and #17 in the Year End Charts. It also reached the third position of the Australian and British tallies and was a chart topper on the overall European Hot 100 Singles.

The Chris Robinson visual presented Busta as a bodyguard falling for the wife of the man who hired him. Elsewhere, Mariah and the Flipmode Squad are seen lounging in a lavish mansion…just because. Ever the businesswoman, Carey flaunted pieces from her ‘Automatic Princess’ jewelry brand throughout the vid.

With a fresh duet about to drop ant day now, could Busta and Mariah be on their way to a brand new rap-sung classic? We seriously hope so! Though the musical landscape is way different that a decade ago, talent is still talent – and most of all a great song is still a great song.

Busta, Mimi, the ball’s in your court.
