Ed Sheeran‘s blockbuster single, ‘Shape of You,’ refuses to loosen its grip on the top spot of the Hot 100 and holds tight to the position for a 10th non-consecutive week.

To add to the impressiveness of the feat, Billboard reports the song – despite the advancements of competition from the likes of Bruno Mars, The Chainsmokers, and more – is still trumping all opponents in every component referenced for data to compile chart placements (streaming, radio airplay, and sales).  In its 10th week alone, the tune has actually increased radio impressions, amassed another 46.2 million streams, and added 85,000 digital downloads to its overall tally.

Billboard elaborates:

Impressively, “Shape” has topped the Hot 100 and its three main component charts (Digital Song Sales, Radio Songs and Streaming Songs) simultaneously for four weeks running.

Since Streaming Songs launched in early 2013 (as the most-recently-added of the three lists), only two songs had previously led the trio of charts (as well as the Hot 100) for at least four straight weeks at the same time: “Closer” (six weeks, 2016) and Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk!,” featuring Bruno Mars (six, 2015).

It’s without doubt the movie’s DVD and Blu-Ray sales will only help skyrocket its overall earnings…

Fans may have thought Grammy-nominated songstress Keyshia Cole had literally reached the ‘point of no return’ when her 2014 album of the same name not only delivered the lowest first week sales of her career to date (read more about that by clicking here), but went on to clock the lowest overall sales of any of her previous efforts.  A harsh blow for an otherwise consistent seller, especially amongst her Urban counterparts, the nonperformance of the LP – in addition to a host of personal dramas – acted as catalysts for the R&B chanteuse to go back to the drawing board and regroup.

After the two years that followed ‘Return’ rendered rumored singles and reported few false starts, the late 2016 announcement of the singer’s relocation to Epic Records signaled the surest sign of a full on return.  Lo and behold, by February 2017, Cole put the rumors to rest by officially lifting the lid on her long-awaited new single – ‘You’ (featuring rappers Remy Ma & French Montana)…
