Shame and embarrassment befell Mariah Carey on New Year’s Eve when she botched her performance her televised performance in New York City.

Yesterday, her aides stepped forward to cry foul play.

How the show’s organisers, Dick Clark Productions, responded?

Gospel hitmaker Kim Burrell isn’t exactly kicking her new year off in the best of lights.

After making headlines for a homophobic sermon where she directly stated insinuated homosexuals will “die in 2017,” the revered singer/songwriter has been fielding attacks from media, supporters, fans, and friends.  Even friends Yolanda Adams and Pharrell Williams have spoken out against her rant and branded it “hate speech.”

Ironically, despite making her stance on homosexuality well known in the sermon, Burrell – who has worked with Frank Ocean among a number of other LGBT stars – is set to appear on ‘Ellen’ in the coming days.  Well, that is, unless a recently ignited petition has its say.

nicki-minaj

By way of record sales and the general public’s insatiable appetite for her tours, Nicki Minaj continues to extend her reign as the highest-selling female rapper of all time even when far removed from streams.

So, to honour the rapper and its relationship with her, BET gave its viewers enviable access to her widely successful Pinkprint‘ world tour after it generated $22,000,000  from dates delivered across the globe.

Waiting below is an emotive portion of the star’s sold-out stop in Brooklyn, New York, capturing the star as she performed 2010’s ‘Save Me‘ and 2014’s ‘Grand Piano’ for an audience of 14,186 fans.

…and the claws are out (again)!

As Mariah Carey continues to be a trending topic on Facebook and Twitter after delivering what could easily be classified as the worst performance of her career last night (see it here if you missed it), her nemesis – Jennifer Lopez – is being praised for shutting her NYE performances all the way down over on NBC’s ‘New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly.’

A day later, the ‘Feelin’ So Good’ songstress must really be feelin’ herself as she was caught “liking” a photo that slammed Mimi’s shambolic NYE showing.  The move makes some believe the beef between she and Carey, which many thought had cooled, may still be hot as ever…nearly 15 years after it began.

While nemesis Mariah Carey‘s continued social media dragging for a shambolic NYE performance is making Lambs work overtime in her defense, Jennifer Lopez is still garnering praise for shutting down Carson Daly‘s ‘NYE’ special.

Originally reported to have traded in NYE work for “family time,” the singer/actress had a change of heart and took to Daly to render some fierce renditions of her prized hits ‘Waiting for Tonight,’ ‘On the Floor,’ ‘If You Had My Love,’ ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing,’ and more.

Tuck in below to see why the applause for J.Lo is still running over even a day later…

Mariah Carey delivered what could easily be classified as the worst performance of her 25+ year career on ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest’ tonight (December 31).

Helping more than one million people camped out in Times Square painfully ring in the new year (and don’t forget the millions watching at home), the annual ABC special got a dose of updated versions of the diva’s hits ‘We Belong Together,’ ‘Emotions,’ and more.

When not talking through the songs, Carey’s backing track gave out at multiple points during the performance.  Guess who gave zero f*cks?  That’s right…Miss Mimi.

As we reported here, renowned gospel singer/pastor Kim Burrell came under some serious fire after going on a graphic homophobic rant during a recent sermon.

Once the video of her statements started making its rounds the ‘Try Me Again’ singer quickly tried to clean up the mess with a clarification:

I never said LGBT last night. I said S-I-N and whatever falls in the sin was preached.

Apparently it was too little, too late.  As of time reporting members of her faithful following on Twitter and Facebook – many of whom are members of the LGBTQ community – are roasting the revered songstress for her unwelcome remarks.  See highlights below:
