Epic news for the entertainer’s loyalists after the bounce…
The after-flames continue to rage after Rihanna‘s implied Beyonce shade last night.
As reported, the Bajan belle “liked” a disparaging comment left by one of her fans about her being snubbed by the Grammys (despite being nominated 8 times). Said post cited favouritism towards Queen Bey as the reason.
Naturally, given the already contentious climate between the stars’ respective fanbases, the drama exploded.
The BeyHive swarmed Ms. Fenty’s social accounts, and now The Navy are retaliating.

In a world currently dominated by The Weeknd, Drake and Bruno Mars, the pressure is on Chris Brown to deliver content far stronger than his servings of yesteryear.
This week, he has revealed that he is committed to doing just that via an Instagram post he shared hours ago.
Why the threat of being outperformed by the ‘Starboy‘ and ‘24K Magic’ maker may see Brown deliver his strongest era to date?

If you thought the chart domination of The Weeknd’s new album, ‘Starboy,’ was limited to the Billboard 200, you are sorely mistaken.
For, much like his fellow Canadian entertainer/‘Live For’ co-star Drake, The Weeknd – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – has made history as the fourth artist (second male vocalist) to ever simultaneously place every song from one album on the Hot 100.
Additionally, all 18 songs from Starboy chart on the Hot 100; with 18 total tracks on the Dec. 17 chart, The Weeknd posts the second-most simultaneous entries in the Hot 100’s 58-year history; only Drake tallied more at the same time: 20 on the May 21 chart.
Find out where they (and all your other favorites from the day) landed on the refreshed TGJ Chart Check [Hot 100] below:
Thanks to an onslaught of promotional appearances that (to date) have included ‘SNL,’ The American Music Awards, ‘Ellen,’ the ‘Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,’ and European Music Awards, The Weeknd‘s third album, ‘Starboy,’ has not only lent his largest first week sales to date, but also gives him the third largest premiere of the year (only behind Drake‘s ‘Views’ and Beyonce‘s ‘Lemonade’).
Despite failing to meet initial predictions of 400,000 units moved, the singer’s handsome sum still gave him just enough to place him at #1 for this week’s Billboard 200.
Billboard reports:
‘The Weeknd blasts in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with his new album, Starboy, earning 348,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Dec. 1, according to Nielsen Music. Of the Weeknd’s overall start, 209,000 were in traditional album sales.
Starboy, the Weeknd’s second Billboard 200 No. 1, was released on Nov. 25 through XO/Republic Records and is the follow-up to his first leader, Beauty Behind the Madness. The new set was initially released commercially as a download and through streaming services. Its CD release followed three days later on Nov. 28.’
‘Needed Me’ maestra Rihanna may be needing some medical attention after the swarm of #Beyhive stings she’s currently suffering.
That’s right, today brought with it the second time this year Rih’s social media antics have incited a war between her faithful #Navy and Beyonce‘s beloved fan group. This time, after the ‘Work’ singer “liked” an Instagram post which implied the Recording Academy gives Bey preferential treatment, she ignited a firestorm of clapbacks from the #Beyhive.

It’s that time of year again!
Indeed, the air is still buzzing as today brought with it the highly anticipated 2017 Grammy nominations unveiled, per usual, via an announcement special weeks before the actual showing. But, what also comes with the ‘per usual’ announcement are the jaw-dropping surprises, snubs, and all out “shut-outs” that accompany the annual spectacle.
Always a heated debate-starter, the coveted tally saw the likes of Zayn Malik, Janet Jackson, Future, Nick Jonas, and more all go without mention while others, some fans believe, weren’t mentioned in the correct categories.
In the meantime, tuck in below for our list of 2017’s Grammy surprises and snubs:
Rihanna may have scored an impressive 8 nominations at the 2017 Grammys, but it appears she’s pressed like a panini over this year’s leading act – Beyonce.
The pair have long been pit against each other by their respective fanbases, yet have maintained an air of cordial publicly.
That all seems to have been flushed down the drain (with Ms. Fenty’s Album of the Year hopes) after the Bajan belle “liked” a shady-filled post aimed at Bey and the Grammy committee.

Now, as the year draws to a close, TGJ is reflecting on 31 moments that rocked – and to some degree shaped – the Urban and Pop musical landscape as we know it.
Next, we reflect on how 2016 saw streaming forever change the face of music consumption:
Mariah Carey may be weary of calling her new E! series a “reality show,” but she ironically owes a debt of gratitude to one of the most popular titles in the genre – ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.’
