After a lengthy break on the bench, ‘TGJ Replay’ is back!

Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ segments, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest retrospective segment – a written quest, if you will, to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday.

Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.  Today we roll down memory lane to Urban princess Ciara‘s criminally underrated album ‘Fantasy Ride’…

With ten years held in the game and numerous accolades to show for it, there are some who find themselves becoming a little confused when the above sentence is uttered by R&B’s Ciara…ten years into her career.

However, as the case should be, the entertainer’s stance on her career comes from a more informed place by those who week to belittle her potential and achievements.

For, while her self-titled album didn’t bring in the numbers it’s well oiled promo-machine had called for, the campaign- as you’ll see below- was not in vain.

In fact, the efforts employed to push the album have now gone on to form a firm foundation for the next level of her career.

Sporting that smile, the ‘DUI’ darling was caught out and about as her Gold single ‘Body Party’ continues to hold a Top 20 spot on iTunes R&B months after its March 8th release!

Indeed, doing so as she readies the release of a brand new studio album, the love song’s continued success comes as its supporting album ‘Ciara’ eyes global sales of 500,000 units, but as radio support of her latest single ‘Overdose’ softens in the USA.

First Rihanna & Shakira, now this?

The night was set alight with word that Grammy winning pop superstar Lady Gaga was on board to duet with ‘Womanizer’ wailer Britney Spears – a concept first brought forth by Spears in a recent chat interview with her devoted fans.

With Spears already listing Madonna, Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, and Rihanna to her lengthy list of female collaborators, the self-proclaimed Femme Fatale’s inclusion of Gaga would certainly seem fitting.

Elsewhere in the blog-o-sphere, news surfaced that ‘Body Party’ beauty Ciara has been eyeing a collabo with long-time idol Janet Jackson.  As both singers have albums reportedly due in the next year, this is certainly a combo we could see happening.  But, can you?

‘Body Party’ beauty Ciara is keeping the party going on into the year’s end with a slew of magazine covers and appearances.

We shared the songstress’s snap affront luxury fashion mag GenLux hours ago and now we’re back to show off some outtakes from the newly engaged singer’s ‘Pulp’ magazine shoot.

Putting her short cut blond hair in her rearview, the soon-to-be-former Miss Harris revisits her ‘Basic Instinct’ look in these snaps already receiving much love on her Instagram and Twitter handles.
