Let us tell it, the last three days alone have seen Fall 2016 prove itself infinitely hotter than the summer was.  With drops from Jojo, Lady Gaga, John Legend, Mary J. Blige, and Bruno Mars, 3rd quarter is on its way to giving music fans more than they can handle.

And, as if these heavy hitters aren’t enough, the past few weeks have seen contributions from the likes of Solange and The Weeknd that are threatening some real shakeups on the charts – the latter already hoisted to the top 3 of the Billboard Hot 100.

After coming under fire for remarks she made about the athlete Odell Beckham, the ‘Girls‘ actress made her way to ‘The Breakfast Club’ with hopes of presenting a cooler side of her personality to an audience her comments seem to have offended.

Their conversation saw her share her thoughts on her love for the R&B singer Brandy, why ‘Girls’ came to an end, gun violence, Hillary Clinton and her feelings ,black women and their relation to the feminist movement and why she regrets Odell-gate.

With a bangin’ bass, glimmering piano and an acoustic guitar, Alicia Keys provides a whole-hearted ode to her family in her new single ‘Blended Family (What You Do For Love).’

In the song, the face of the “no makeup” movement opens up about the peaks and valleys of creating a family with her husband Swizz Beatz and her stepson, whose mother is R&B songstress Mashonda.

Speaking on the cut, which serves as the new lead release from her sixth album ‘Here,’ Keys says:

“It means so much to me and our whole family. The understanding, compassion and support we’ve found is a powerful testament to the healing that comes when we choose love. Especially for the kids… the most important part of our lives. Celebrating @mashondatifrere for our commitment to each other with support and true growth.

It’s the most open the 15-time Grammy winner has been about her private life, aspects of which have played out quite publicly.

John Legend may be renown for his bountiful ballads, but the R&B star picks up the pace with his flavoursome new single ‘Love Me Now.’

The track is the lead release from the Grammy, Golden Globe, and Oscar winner’s fifth studio album ‘Darkness & Light.’

Produced by Legend along with Blake Mills and John Ryan, the song is described by the singer as being “all about living and loving to the fullest, no matter what tomorrow may bring.”

Speaking to fans on Facebook, he added:

“I’m so excited to finally share music from my new album! I’ve put a lot of love and energy into making this album special.  I hope my fans can feel it.”

Inescapable.

For many, that’s precisely what Emeli Sande‘s reign over the UK music landscape was.

Recognising the pros and potential plight of this, the Scottish-bred belter voluntarily vacated the spotlight in 2013.

Three years on, she’s back and gearing up to release sophomore album ‘Long Live The Angels.’

With three months seeming like an age in showbiz, Sande’s lengthier hiatus naturally presents the question of what response she’ll receive upon her return.

The 29-year-old delivered an emphatic answer last night at a live showcase of the new material.

It’s been four years since ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ rocked radios across the world, but now it appears stageblazing divo Bruno Mars is locked, loaded, and ready for a redo.

If what we’ve sampled of JoJo‘s ‘Mad Love’ album so far is any indication, the singer is readying a buffet of brilliance with the long-awaited LP.

‘Music,’ the latest taste of the set (due October 14th) further highlights this.

Though it’s the project’s opening track, it’s no appetizer. Indeed, it’s a main meal of a song that is meaty, filling, and lyrically nutritious.
