Ty Dolla $ign has been on an unstoppable streak of late.

And now armed with the momentum of crossover smash ‘Work From Home,’ the rapper will release his sophomore album ‘Campaign’ on September 16th.

After teasing with ‘No Justice’ and the the LP’s Future assisted title track back in July, today sees him unwrap ‘Zaddy.’

Jidenna’s latest jam ‘Little Bit More’ has been lighting up the clubs since its release last month. To enhance its chart prospects, the rising star stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform the flavoursome single.

The track, which we’ve had on replay at TGJ, features on the rapping singer’s debut album ‘Long Live The Chief,’ which arrives later this year via Wondaland/Epic.

Sonically, the cut salutes Jidenna’s Nigerian heritage; something he also seems keen honor on stage.

Britney Spears is the latest singer to show off her chops on tonight’s highly anticipated episode of ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ as she joined the British television host for a rousing round of ‘Carpool Karaoke.’

The Grammy winning songstress rested her signature hair whips and showed off her best smiles as she lip synced a number of chart-toppers from her history-making catalog while opting to sing others.

Hit or miss, Lifetime has certainly had people talking over the years with its biopics dedicated to some of music history’s most beloved female entertainers (Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, etc.).  Now, as the week has proven, the addition of pop diva Britney Spears to their list of biographical flicks is no exception.

Garnering major buzz upon its announcement earlier this week, the Asylum Entertainment production – which will see actress Natasha Bassett assume the role of Spears – is set for a 2017 premiere and will cover the singer’s tumultuous romantic relationships, public highs and lows, and everything between.

And, while some have already given a thumbs up from just the sheer notion of getting a peek inside the ‘Lucky’ star’s private life, there’s one person who definitely has not lent approval to the forthcoming film:  Britney herself.  Details inside:

R&B veteran Usher is officially ready to usher in the next era of his storied music career.  After word hit the net his 8th studio album, ‘Hard II Love,’ is due in stores September 16th, the star took to Facebook Live! to not only confirm the news was true, but also that fans could pre-order it tonight!

As if that’s not exciting enough, the singer/songwriter is also set to show off his acting chops as Sugar Ray Leonard in ‘Hands of Stone’ – the biographical sports film set to take box offices by storm tomorrow (August 26th).  But, while fans wait to get their eyes and ears on the new flick, they’ve been invited to hear a tune from its official soundtrack – ‘Champions’ and ‘Missin U’ (found on ‘Hard II Love’).

Shockwaves continue to ripple through the industry following the release of Frank Ocean‘s new album ‘Blond.’

Most notable is Universal Music‘s ban on streaming exclusives, after the singer pulled off a colossal coup.

Because, as reported, Ocean fulfilled his contract with the corporate giant upon the soft launch of ‘Endless.’ A standalone visual effort. 48 hours later he’d go on to drop his actual sophomore album independently on Apple Music.

Word on the curb is that UMG had no clue. Hence the episode served as a catalyst for the the wielding of the ax on such exclusives.

Interestingly, the shenanigans appear to have impacted Lady Gaga‘s upcoming release.
