2016’s biggest Billboard 200 titans – Adele, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber – collectively dominated the chart since the debut of their most recent respective projects. As we’ve reported previously, Adele and Bieber’s albums (both released in November 2015) and Rih’s latest project (released in February 2016) enjoyed lengthy reigns atop the BB 200, never once leaving the tally’s top 5…until now.
For, after weeks of fending off the likes of K. Michelle, Zayn, and other brief chart-toppers, 2016’s top trio have now fallen out of the top 5 courtesy of an impressive showing from Kanye West and others. We reported earlier this week that West, whose latest project ‘Life of Pablo’ pushed 94,000 equivalent album sales during its official “debut” week, now holds the #1 spot.
