The BET Awards is back and set to blaze on Sunday, June 30.

As always, all eyes are on who’ll be up for nominations at Black entertainment’s biggest calendar night.

Well, wonder no more. For, the nominees list has been unveiled.

After achieving ample success with back-to-back releases, Drake leads with seven nominations. Nicki Minaj follows with a whopping six nods.

As the credits have rolled on the Queen Latifah-hosted 55th annual NAACP Image Awards, which aired Saturday (February 25) on BET, eyes are turning to the event’s truest star:  its coveted trophies.

It’s almost time for the 55th Annual NAACP Image Awards.

Unveiling its full list of nominations today, the prestigious awards honor actors, actresses, singers, authors, and activists of color, in and out of the entertainment industry.

Usher, Fantasia, Colman Domingo, ‘The Color Purple’, Victoria Monét, Ayo Edebiri, and ‘Rustin’ are among the names nominated multiple times across the category tally – which includes music, film, and TV nominees.

iHeartMedia and FOX Entertainment have thrown their names into the fray of award show season madness by announcing the nominees for the 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Set to air live from Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday (April 1), the highly anticipated event – like past iterations – will toast the most-played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app across the previous year.

Streaming on the iHeartRadio app as well as iHeartRadio stations as well, the ceremony will not only feature award presentations in multiple categories like genre-specific Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and more but will boast live performances from some of the biggest artists in music.

Dominated by female acts, this year’s leading nominee, Taylor Swift, sees her name listed a whopping 7 times including in major categories like Best Song, Best Artist, and Best Video. Behind her are Olivia Rodrigo and SZA with six apiece; they are followed by Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, and Maneskin with four respective mentions across the nominations tally.

Other major star power sprinkled across the full nominations list includes Beyonce, The Weeknd, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, Kylie Minogue, Ed Sheeran, Ice Spice, and more.

It’s that time of year!

The BET Hip-Hop Awards 2023 are around the corner. As such, nominations for the hotly anticipated ceremony have been unveiled.

Cardi B and 21 Savage jointly lead with a whopping 12 nods each. Drake follows with 9.

Other notable names who scored multiple nominations include Burna Boy and DJ Khaled (7 apiece), J. Cole (6), and Jay-Z, GloRilla, and Coi Leray (all of whom nabbed 5).

This year’s installment of the show takes place in Atlanta, GA on October 3 and airs on October 10 on BET at 9pm ET/PT.

Speaking on the nods, Connie Orlando, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy for BET said in a statement:

Ciara may have spent the last year dropping gems like ‘Jump,’ ‘Better Thangs,’ and ‘Da Girls‘ as teases of what was to come on her new body of work, the long-awaited follow-up to 2019’s ‘Beauty Marks,’ but – to the surprise of her dedicated fans (affectionately called the #CSquad) – the project’s tracklist was devoid of these titles.

Instead, the GRAMMY winner is thrilling music lovers with a collection of never-before-heard cuts assembled for the new EP, ‘Cici.’

Kicked off by the release of the Chris Brown-assisted single ‘How We Roll,’ the 7-song project – which also features guest appearances from Lil Baby and Big Freedia – is delivered via the diva’s own imprint, Beauty Marks Entertainment, in partnership with Uptown and Republic Records.
