Justin Bieber visited ‘The Tonight Show’ this week and had ample reason to smile.

The pin-up’s new album ‘Purpose’ is on-course for a definitive chart win over rival act One Direction and by a (relative) landslide.

Led by ‘What Do You Mean?,’ the comeback project is set to sell 470k-490k Stateside (to 1D’s 420k) – which, if achieved, will mark the largest first-week debut this year.[Editor’s note: Of course, until the Adele avalanche hits next week].

Not resting his laurels, Bieber took to the stage on the Jimmy Fallon hosted show to perform current single ‘Sorry’ – which has, thus far, peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Call it a comeback.!

The Michael B. Jordan boxing flick is the latest from the Rocky franchise and sees the rising star play Adonis Johnson, the son of the late Apollo Creed.

Sylvester Stallone reprises his role of the former World Heavyweight Champion Rocky Balboa, who – in this movie – serves as a trainer and mentor to Adonis.

Multi-tasking Mimi both stars in and directs ‘A Christmas Melody’ – an original movie for the cable network.

The 45-year-old is starring as a teacher who helps a special student piece together the ultimate Holiday song – her own real-life classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’

Set to air December 19th, Hallmark have unveiled a first look trailer for the film – which also stars Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott, Kathy Najimy and 10-year-old Broadway sensation Fina Strazza. Watch below…

As fans know, the diva “ditched” her claim to fame as part of the saucy group of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ to try her hand at Broadway in ‘Cinderella: The Musical’ and other forthcoming television ventures.

‘How To Get Away With Murder‘ actress Viola Davis teamed up with the Paley Center & McCann to present ‘New Audiences for a New America’, an insightful session which saw the entertainer weigh in on Hollywood’s relationship with diversity.

The conversation (which features a creative from ‘Empire’ and an executive from ABC) comes as Davis has been praised for her portrayal of the cruel and complex Annalise Keating in the aforementioned ‘Murder‘ which has been lauded for its jaw-dropping storylines and diverse group of characters.

All roads lead to November 20th for Adele Adkins.

The 27 year old Brit songbird who took the music world by song in the early noughties is back and appears poised for a redo.  As if the record shattering success of ‘Hello,’ her long-awaited comeback single, wasn’t enough, industry analysts indicate the tune’s parent album, ’25,’ is on track to set the record for the best first-week sales of any LP ever (current record held by N’SYNC‘s 2000 ‘No Strings Attached’ album at 2.4 million sold).  The strength of pre-orders alone show the album will sell no less than 1 million its first week and will unquestionably surpass the first week sales record set by fellow ‘it girl’ Taylor Swift last year.
