Here to save the world from the army of hit-hungry Pop bots dominating the charts is Lana Del Rey with her latest album ‘Honeymoon.’

Rick Nowles serves as its producer and joins Rey to unleash the project following the unveiling of it lead single ‘High by the Beach’ which peaked at #51 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Fortunately, its failure to ignite the singles tally is likely to mean nothing to album-selling Rey who has sold over seven million albums worldwide since the release of her debut offering ‘Lana Del Ray’ in 2010.

Will ‘Honey’ fare just as well as its predecessors?

Lady GaGa is stepping out to raise awareness for victims of sexual assault with the help of the creative force that is Diane Warren.

Warren shared:

After watching The Hunting Ground, I was inspired by the survivors who had the courage to tell their stories. This song, with its message of hope and empowerment, is my heartfelt tribute to them and will also resonate with anyone who has been bullied, lost a loved one or just feels alone in the world.I hope that this PSA, with its raw and truthful portrayals, will send a clear message that we need to support these courageous survivors and end this epidemic plaguing our college campuses.

Ciara certainly knows how to keep her name in the mix.

Indeed, beyond releasing new album ‘Jackie’ back in May, the 360 siren has been living up to said billing by appearing in TV shows, fronting fierce fashion campaigns, and now getting in on the film arena.

The 29-year-old has been tapped to record her own rendition of ‘Paint It Black’ by the Rolling Stones for Vin Diesel‘s new movie ‘The Last Witch Hunter.’

In a brand new trailer unleashed moments ago, a preview of the song features — and it’s not what folk may expect to hear from the R&B belle.

2015 JUNO Awards - Show

The Weeknd is officially the man to beat on the charts.

As if dominating the top 10 for most of the summer with hits ‘The Hills’ and ‘Earned It’ wasn’t enough, he’s now added ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ – his first #1 single on the Hot 100 – to the bunch.  Yes, he may have known temporary dethronement last week as Justin Bieber‘s comeback single ‘What Do You Mean’ knocked ‘Face’ from the top spot…but that was then.

Roaring back to the perch of the Hot 100, The Weeknd’s return is accompanied by news his sophomore LP ‘Beauty Behind the Madness’ will probably enjoy a third week at #1 on the Billboard 200.  The feat makes him the first solo male artist in history to simultaneously be #1 on the Artist 100, Hot 100, and Billboard 200.

The Weeknd‘s “Can’t Feel My Face” rebounds 2-1 for a third nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It replaces Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?,” which falls 1-3 after debuting atop the chart last week. Meanwhile,The Weeknd claims the Hot 100’s top two spots, as “The Hills” rises 3-2, making him the first act to rank at Nos. 1 and 2 simultaneously, as a lead act on both songs, since 2009.  (source)

As muddy messes go, few can rival the all-round ridiculousness of Rihanna‘s eighth album roll-out.

Despite being a part-time singer, but a full time model, the star is – for some strange reason – pursuing the lane of an artiste.

A path, unsurprisingly, that is leading her and the project down a hole some say she’ll struggle to climb out of.

Parallel to the disaster, though, has been a candle of hope from fans that the 27-year-old is cooking up a master-plan of sorts that will reveal itself in a mere moment. “Rihvember” they’ve tirelessly taken to Twitter to chant.

And yet, in the new issue of NME, the Bajan beauty has not only revealed that the project isn’t near completion, she cites Kanye West as one of the causes.
