Lady Gaga took John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ to the very first European Games two nights ago, helping the continent welcome the sporting event as she continues to work on her next studio album.

Her performance took place in Azerbaijan’s Baku and did little to silence talk surrounding the nation’s human rights issues and claims it jails political dissidents.
