Today brings with it the big screen British debut of ‘Get On Up’, the critically acclaimed James Brown biopic.

Led by Chadwick Boseman (and also co-starring Octavia Spencer), the movie journeys through the life, trials, and triumphs of the iconic Godfather Of Soul.

With a confirmed performance alongside Ariana Grande at this Sunday’s American Music Awards, one might think Jessie J would be resting easy.

However, the vocal powerhouse continues to charge on full speed with promotion for her own album ”Sweet Talker’.

The press trail landed in The View studios today, where J not only performed current single ‘Burnin’ Up’ but also sat down with Whoopi Goldberg and co for a chat – which saw her gush about new boyfriend Luke James.

Rising R&B star Luke James has been hitting headlines on both sides of the Atlantic of late following the confirmation of his relationship with Jessie J.

The ‘I Want You’ singer, who released his self-titled album to critical acclaim in September, has been grinding hard on the promo trail for the set, which he plugged during an interview with our friends over at True Exclusives this week.

Naturally, his budding romance with the ‘Bang Bang’ belter was brought up.

Times really are a’changing.

As was potently spotlighted recently, no album prior to (or other than) Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ has hit Platinum status in the US this year. Indeed, whichever way it’s diced or sliced, music sales have been wallowing in the mire for several years now and it appears the American industry has had enough.

Bill Cosby is battling back.

The actor, comedian, and cultural thinker has been at the centre of multiple-rape allegations – some as old as forty years ago, others as recent as this decade.

Yesterday saw former supermodel Janice Dickinson throw her name into the mix of women accusing ‘The Cosby Show’ star of sexual assault.

And while the 77-year-old has maintained silence, he’s slamming the claims of his latest detractor by way of his lawyer.

DJ David Guetta commands the masses to ‘Listen’ on his latest album of the same name. And in smartly enlisting Nicki Minaj for new song ‘Hey Mama (ft. Afrojack)’, it’s doubtful he’ll have any problems getting folk to comply when the LP hits stores on November 24th.

Hotly anticipated, the song reunites the rapper and the EDM icon, who first paired up for the mega-hit ‘Turn Me On’ in 2011.

This track, which is a delicious fusion of island spice and Electro, premiered moments ago and packs the punch of an immediate winner.

Rihanna fans are growing impatient. And with good reason too.

The star’s Navy have been treated to half-baked, yet easily appeasing albums from her almost every year since she hit the scene in 2005.

However, the 26 year old’s eighth LP appears to be proving a problem.

Initially pencilled in for release last year, the set has been dented by numerous delays – which, like her fictitious reign, don’t seem to be letting up.

And while RiRi has largely remained mum about new music, she couldn’t dodge a direct question from Entertainment Tonight, who quizzed her on the project at an event to promote her new movie ‘Home’ (due March 2015).

The Platinum Edition of Beyonce‘s self-titled album struts into stores next week (November 24th).

As reported, ‘7/11’ is one of two new songs featured on the set, which also includes four remixes and ten live performances.

And while anticipation is already sky-high, it was sent into overdrive moments ago when a 30-second snippet of the Detail produced jam hit the net.

The much-slammed Aaliyah biopic may have had Timbaland in a foul mood over the weekend, but the hitmaker was in great spirits during a stop at The Breakfast Club today.

Naturally, hosts Charlamagne, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy quizzed Timbo on the Lifetime movie and his viral response. Yet, it was the interesting turn that the interview took which has many buzzing. 

The producer used the vast majority of the sit-down to gush about new rapper, Tink.

Aged just 19, the femcee is the latest name signed to Tim’s Mosley Music Group in partnership with L.A. Reid‘s Epic Records. What’s more, the lyricist has received co-signs from the likes of Jay Z and Rick Ross.

Armed with more than just words, the music maestro previewed material from the newbie’s debut album, which he says houses some of his best work since Aaliyah’s ‘One In A Million’.
