The #Beyhive are in overdrive tonight!

Indeed, before attacking 2015 ‘Album of the Year’ winner Beck for besting Beyonce‘s self-titled album in the coveted category, the group had their sights set on powerhouse vocalist Frenchie Davis for reportedly slamming the Grammy committee for picking the ‘Single Ladies’ singer to sing as part of its ‘Selma’ tribute.

As reported here, despite the film featuring singer Ledisi portraying Mahalia Jackson and covering her popular version of ‘Precious Lord’ for its accompanying soundtrack, the ceremony opted for Bey to perform the tune…even with Ledisi sitting in the audience.

Before the show took place, Entertainment Tonight caught up with the ‘Pieces of Me’ singer to get a piece of her mind on the decision.  This, as the #Beyhive continued a two day attack on the former ‘American Idol’ contestant, Davis, for lending her support via Twitter:

What started as a dream come true for ‘Loser’ singer Beck is turning into a Twitter nightmare as the multi-Grammy award winning rocker – who has over 2 decades of hits included two albums listed aboard Rolling Stone’s ‘500 Greatest Albums of All Time’ list – has found himself on the receiving end of a bevy of #Beystings as imparted by the ever-faithful fanbase of songstress Beyonce.

After his most 2014 release ‘Morning Phase’ trumped the 20-time winning diva’s self-titled effort for ‘Album of the Year’ at this Sunday’s ceremony,  the #Beyhive went into attack mode on Twitter…even updating the singer’s Wikipedia page with insults.

As the #Beyhive keeps Twitter abuzz over Beyonce‘s ‘Album of the Year’ loss, one of its more famous members – Kanye West – joins in the fight for #justiceforBeyonce via a fiery interview with E!.

After ‘Loser’ hitmaker Beck won Album of the Year over the ‘Drunk in Love’ diva at Sunday night’s ceremony, the unpredictable Yeezy jokingly rushed the stage in what appeared to be a repeat of his infamous Taylor Swift upstage at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

After laughing off the joke, Beck continued to accept his award – much to #Beyhive dismay.  Later, a backstage interview proved that Yeezy wasn’t in much of a laughing mood, despite letting the rock singer have his moment on television:

Another year, another Grammy ceremony.

In homage to tonight’s show, our From The Vault pick is a rousing showing by Mariah Carey at the 2006 award ceremony.

We’re pretty sure you’re now well acquainted with the stats of the blockbuster era Ms. Carey scored with her ‘Emancipation Of Mimi’ comeback LP. For the forgetful few, the the project sold over 10 million albums, enjoyed countless weeks at #1, spurned two top charting singles including Billboard’s “Song Of The Decade” ‘We Belong Together’.

Taking to the Grammy stage after bagging 8 nominations, Ms. Carey delivered an epic medley of the aforementioned Jermaine Dupri-moulded smash alongside the Gospel fan-favorite ‘Fly Like A Bird’ – which was produced by James ‘Big Jim’ Wright. With her vocals in great form – and just a tad of backing track for good measure – this ranks as one of Mimi’s best performance of recent years, not only for her voice but also her commanding stage presence.
One would think that all these credentials would equal major recognition by the Grammy committee, right? Wrong! Though taking home three gramophones on that night, the diva missed out on the oh-so-prestigious “Record Of The Year”, “Song Of The Year” and “Album Of The Year” distinctions, with the organization instead opting to reward arguably less celebrated music – both critically and commercially – by U2 and Green Day.

Unfortunately, nobody’s ever safe from a Grammy snub, especially not on the Urban side of things. From where we’re standing, Mariah deserved to win every single award she was nominated for on that evening.

With the Urban arena at its most popular in years, it’ll be interesting to see WHO the Grammy committee considers the leaders of the pack.

The 57th annual Grammy awards awarded Beyonce her first gong of the night minutes ago, kicking off the non-televised portion of the event by handing her self-titled LP the award for the Best Surround Album.

With this award, the star can now boast of owning 18 Grammy awards.

Will this be the ‘Sweet Dreamer‘s only win on the night?
