Mary J. Blige set the net into a flutter earlier this week when she announced the release date of new album ‘Strength Of A Woman.’

More than “just another Mary LP,” it marks the first body of work she’ll serve up since filing for divorce from her ex husband and manager Kendu Isaacs.

Renown for baring her soul on record, Mary seemed to be saving a lot of the talking for the project’s arrival.

However, in a move we’re all the way here for, she’s opening up about the reason for the split during her current press run.

Rihanna‘s ‘ANTI’ era kicked off to a rocky start and, depending on who you talk to, may or may not have ever found the most solid footing.

Still, there’s no denying that there have been a few success stories to come out of the #R8 run.

The latest comes in the form of album cut ‘Sex With Me.’

Though never issued as a traditional single, the cut made its way to the top of the Billboard Dance tally this week.

‘No Limit’ leader Master P is next hip hop hitmaker in line to see his life story adapted to the screen.

The New Orleans rapper, whose rags to riches story saw him amass a collection of platinum plaques across 75 million records sold, Billboard hits galore, fame, and fortune along the way, is now turning that tale into a full length feature film titled ‘Ice Cream Man:  The King of the South.’

And, to ensure the project is a success, P has tapped another rap royal to assist:  Queen Latifah…

Oprah Winfrey once referred to historical figure Henrietta Lacks as ‘the woman history tried to silence.’  For retribution’s sake, O teamed with HBO to bring Lacks’ remarkable story to life via an April 22-due made-for-TV biopic (as we reported here).

But, less than a month before its air date, members of Lacks’ family are saying Winfrey and co. are dishing them a fate similar to that of Henrietta’s –  trying to silence them and taking advantage of their family’s legacy.

Mary J. Blige‘s ‘Strength of a Woman’ era is finally fully under way months after blessing fans with bangers ‘Thick of It’ and ‘U+Me (Love  Lesson).’  

Just a day after revealing its regal official art work, the Hip Hop Soul monarch took to Twitter to unveil the set’s long-awaited track list.  A 14-track affair, the Grammy winning songstress has called upon the likes Kanye West, Missy Elliott, and more of some of Hip Hop’s heaviest hitters to assist her return to Billboard 200 over 2 years since her last run with ‘The London Sessions.’
