Given that Nadine Coyle served as Girls Aloud‘s only talented singer, the assumption would be that her former bandmates would, at the very least, offer a base-level of respect. After all, despite the group’s well-documented issues, the fact remains that it’s her voice alone that is most synonymous the band’s sound.

However, with solo projects to promote, it seems protocol has been thrown out of the window.

Forget Friday’s, it appears all the action takes place Thursday nights on ABC.

For, joining the established hits that are ‘Scandal’ and ‘Greys Anatomy’ is Shonda’s Rhimes’ new freshman series ‘How To Get Away With Murder’.

The legal drama, which stars Viola Davis, follows a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defence professor; the group become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives. 

It all makes for a riveting watch. We’re already hooked!

Boasting a Urban/Pop appeal in earnest, Roudette’s new single ‘When The Beat Drops Out’ has gained ample traction in Europe (reached #1 in Germany, #27 on the Shazam worldwide chart, and has amassed a whopping 10 million streams online).

As fan fiction goes, it appears it’s a case of the bigger the star, the more elaborate the story.

Just ask Beyonce.

The mega-seller found herself at the centre of a fake-tracklist storm last week, after well-executed line-sheet – supposedly featuring new songs from the re-release of her self-titled album – begun doing the rounds.

Featuring collaborations with the likes of Rihanna and Justin Timberlake, the image gained ample traction and was covered by a multitude of outlets – including many of the major variety.

We, however, held out for official confirmation, which materlized just a few days later and featured none of the alleged new numbers. Instead, two fresh cuts – ‘7/11’ and ‘Ring Off’ – were confirmed along with remixes featuring the likes of Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.

With the dust from the confusion settling, a rep from Bey’s team spoke with Billboard about the episode, as well as plans for the singer’s future releases.

With all but an announcement rolled out, it’s fair to say Rihanna season is upon us.

The racy rebel, whose new album had been delayed for more than a year due to competition from chart rivals, must finally feel that the coast is clear as reliable intel informs us that a big reveal is nigh.

In the interim, the 26-year-old is pushing the visual component of her campaign hard; for, this week alone she returned to Instagram, covered Elle, and took off all her clothes for Esquire UK.
