With The X Factor in full swing, Cheryl Cole is once again maximising her spot on the judging panel by releasing a new album.
This go round it’s ‘Only Human’ – her fourth solo offering. Thus far it’s delivered singles ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ and ‘I Don’t Care’.
Due in November, the set’s official cover was unwrapped today and it appears she’s playfully juxtaposing her “humanness” with her more animal like traits.
And while we can’t say we particularly care for the cover, we can acknowledge how smart Team Cheryl are being with this X Factor return. After all, the one album she released while not on the show – 2012’s ‘A Million Lights’ – was a sales catastrophe — a fact masked only by the success of its lead single ‘Call My Name’ and the solo tour it spurned.
As such, with other promotional platforms to plug her McMusic scarce, her return to the Simon Cowell franchise (despite being publicly axed from the US show) is her best and, arguably, only bet at winning. Especially, given the sogginess of the songs she’s been serving up this era.
In any case, peep the deluxe artwork after the jump…
