The soon-to-be-divorced diva performed the song during her show in Newark, New Jersey last night. And it sounds like she’s venting about the events leading up to her much-publisized split from husband/manager Kendu Issacs.

Despite seeing its official teaser met with teasing from social media users earlier this week, Mary J. Blige‘s interview with Hillary Clinton is chock-full of hot button subject matter that’s by no means a laughing matter.

Discussing everything from women’s rights to police brutality against African Americans, the Queen of Hip Hop Soul – a very vocal supporter of Clinton – let the launch of her Beats 1 talk show, “The 411” (named in honor of her 1992 debut album), be a platform for the presidential hopeful to discuss her plan to tackle those controversial issues should she be elected to office.

The campaign for Iggy Azalea‘s ‘Digital Distortion’ album was seemingly derailed when lead single ‘Team’ tanked on the charts.

Though received favourably by critics, the cut didn’t fare well commercially; it only managed a #42 and #62 peak in the US and UK respectively.

Now, after a brief  break (during which she served as a judge on ‘The X Factor Australia’), the femcee is gearing up to re-start the push for the LP.

Saturday Night Live [SNL] kicks off its 42nd season this tomorrow night on NBC.

Amid the unveiling of his new single ‘Starboy’ and new makeover, The Weeknd will be the musical guest for the premiere – joining the episode’s host, actress Margot Robbie.

As is routine, the hype machine is is already revved up. Case in point a new teaser.

In 1990, the filmmaker Jennie Livingstone made her way to the streets of New York City to meet the movers and shakers of the sub-culture often cast into Pop culture’s shadows.

What she delivered following her journey? ‘Paris is Burning’, an upbeat yet arguably despairing documentary about the lives of players in the city’s gay and drag culture.

Many of these players, now deceased, are to thank for sights and sounds popularised by the likes of Beyonce , Madonna (see origins of ‘Vogue‘) and Lady GaGa.

This year, ‘The Butler’ director Lee Daniels has revealed that he hopes to retell their stories by way of a reboot.
