‘Telephone’ twosome Beyonce & Lady Gaga continue their tight grip on the music industry by finding placement yet again on Forbes’ annual list of ‘The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.’ Coming in as two of few ladies in entertainment to make the list, the girl power poll comes as an ode to the 100 women who “rule the world”.  And, if this list of ladies are any indication, girls really do run the world.

While top earners/acts like Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Rihanna, and Katy Perry were visibly absent, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Shakira joined the ranks with political figures Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton to media mogul Oprah Winfrey and more.  See where they all landed:

Yesterday, fans of ‘Honey‘ hit maker Mariah Carey learned that her latest LP ‘Me.I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse‘ was to welcome her lowest opening week numbers to date, set to move between 65 to 70,000 units.

Alas, and rather unfortunately considering the project’s stellar material, the album has seen its first week sales projections lowered one day after its release.

Yes…lowered.

One wedding party took a turn for the ratchet recently, when its bridal party performed Beyonce‘s smash hit ‘Drunk in Love‘ at its wedding reception!

Barefooted and dressed to impressed, the ladies honoured the ‘Beyonce’-pulled song with a raunchy dance routine in front of the wedding’s guests, shaking, whining and rolling to the cut’s Detail-produced beat before calling on their groomsmen to join their spicy performance!

Complied by ‘Radio Monitor‘, the ‘UK Radio Airplay Chart‘ pulls data from 316 stations within the UK to create a weekly tally, listing the highest spun acts in the country at the time of its publication.

Fortunately for ‘Radioactive’ chanteuse Rita Ora, this week brings with it good news found on said chart, revealing that her new single ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ is  now on course to being the highest played jam on British radio, well after it peaked at #1 on the ‘Official Singles Chart’
