It didn’t take long for ‘Long Way 2 Go’ singer Cassie to settle the bombshell sexual and physical assault lawsuit she filed against her former boyfriend and boss Diddy.
Just like jaws dropped when details from the singer-model’s suit emerged and featured graphic accounts of him allegedly beating, raping, and forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes while he watched and filmed it repeatedly over the course of their decade-long romantic relationship, mouths were left ajar when the songstress (born Cassie Ventura) and the music mogul (born Sean Combs) issued respective statements to indicate the would-be legal war was over before it could even begin.
Ventura initially demanded $30 million – a sum Combs’ lawyer, Ben Brafman, first asserted was an extortion attempt.
And while the quick turnaround made some critics side-eye Cassie and agree with Brafman’s assessment, others, like former Danity Kane star Aubrey O’Day, suggest the system at large is to blame.
