Airing live from the 02 Arena on February 19th, the ceremony will welcome the likes of Ella Eyre (pictured above) to its home to celebrate what 2013 brought to music and showcase the acts set to fare just as well in 2014.

Award season is indeed in full swing!

Not even a day after celebs in film, television, and music walked away with People’s Choice Awards does the nominations for the 2014 NAACP Image Awards get revealed.

Honoring actors, actresses, singers, authors, and activists of color in and out of the entertainment industry, the revered award show celebrates its 45th annual presentation this year via a live TV One broadcast on Saturday, February 22nd at 9pm EST.

Indeed, after spending the first half of 2013 basking in the glory of her hit single ‘Body Party’ and its well received supporting album, 2014 sees the singer/songwriter kick off the campaign for its follow up with a performance at the 56th Annual Grammy awards after-party!

Only right then, that she teams up with her pals over at ‘Degree Women‘ to give fans a fly on the wall look at her preparation for the event, rehearsing choreography that for a performance we hear the world will not want to miss!

Just four days remain until Shakira and Rihanna unleash their hotly anticipated new single ‘Can’t Remember To Forget You’. So what better time than the present to whip up heightened buzz with the cut’s official cover?!

Unveiled moments ago, the stunning shot has some wondering if its indicative of the song’s subject matter. Who knows. What is certain though is that both ladies look lush! For Shaki, that’s simply part of her Pop package proposition, while  for Rih — it’s ultimately all she’s got, so we expect nothing less. In any case, the cover is divine.

It’ll be interesting to see how the song stacks up against the Latin’s star’s last major diva duet, 2007’s #1 smash with Beyonce – ‘Beautiful Liar’.

BET‘s ‘Being Mary Jane’ ended Tuesday night a ratings champion, reports reveal.  The Gabrielle Union-led show offered the network some of its best ratings to date with a whopping 5 million tuning in to see the show’s premiere.

Deadline:

“An average of 3.3 million viewers tuned in to check out BET‘s first original scripted drama seriesBeing Mary Jane at 10 PM Tuesday, after which an immediate repeat clocked 1.8 million. BET boasted that made it the No. 1 original series debut on cable for the 2013-14 TV season.”

The premiere comes six months after the scripted drama first appeared on BET as a 90-minute film.  With 4 million reportedly tuned into that July showing, BET followed with an order for a full fledged series of the Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil-penned showing.
