As mythical albums go, Azealia Banks‘ ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ is right up there with Ashanti’s ‘Braveheart’.

Two years of teasing, titillation, and Twitter, yet no product to show for it.

However, it appears the diabolical delays haven’t deterred the fiery femcee from pressing on. The latest calendar had the ‘212’ led set pencilled in for release this month. Yet, with no buzz, no single, and no visuals, many rightfully deemed its arrival within this window as “ambitious at best”.

Banks’ label clearly co-sign on such sentiments, for the rapper revealed (during a Twitter Q&A) that Interscope have pushed the project back to (at least) March.

After closing 2013 with an attack on TLC‘s Chilli, the #Beyhive kick off their new year with diverted attention to ‘Wrecking Ball’ beauty Miley Cyrus whose stinging comments about “replacing Beyonce” have landed her in a line of fire.

Indeed, the ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer earned a collective side-eye from Grammy winner’s beloved fanbase and critics alike after a recent interview with ‘Love’ magazine saw her claim:

“Beyonce has been a big inspiration to me but she’s been out for such a long time. She’s so talented and I think she’s at the top of the game now but people are always looking for new blood and that’s what I bring to the game now, new blood. I got the total package you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I’m just the best.”

The pop force that is ‘Beyonce’ (the album) continues to blaze record books with its continued domination of the Billboard 200.  As previously reported, the album was set to top the charts for the third consecutive week with sales in excess of 250,000.

The concert tour industry’s leading publication Pollstar has released their ‘Top 20 Worldwide Tours of 2013‘ tally today, listing and celebrating the year’s highest grossing stage showings!

Sure to ruffle a few fan feathers and shed light on just how successful the year was for a certain Beyonce Carter, the list below also proves that all is never at seems in the smoke’n’mirrors employing production that is the music industry.

For, removed from the hype built around them to create the illusion of ‘list topping success’, many of the shows listed below found themselves being outperformed by tours that made major bucks without making major media noise.
